I had a lovely stay in beautiful Ecton House. Harvi is such a welcoming host, nothing was too much trouble. The village is peaceful and the house has a lovely position opposite the church. My room was clean, tidy and very comfortable- and the welcome piece of cake was delicious!

This property was beautiful! We came here on our wedding night and our room was lovely. Rose petals on the bed! We loved it and it felt very homely! And the lady who looked after us really made us feel at home

Had a great stay,wonderful hosts very friendly even to the point of coming to find me when my sat nav sent me to wrong road in village.had a nice breakfast next day ,I will stay here again

Fantastic host and lovely room

Ecton is a pleasant village in Northampton. Not only is it surrounded by beautiful countryside, the village is spoilt by having top class accommodation in Ecton House which overlooks the local church. It is run by two lovely people – Harvi and Ash who are very friendly. They have not long been operating due to the house needing renovation throughout. Their plan is to have more rooms up and running in the near future. If they are anything like the room we stayed in you will feel truly spoilt. The bed was really comfortable and there was a large bathroom with shower. The room was decorated to a high standard and exceptionally clean. Not only is it great accommodation, there is a pub/restaurant only a short walk away - The Worlds End, known locally as TWE, where we enjoyed a tasty evening meal. Ecton House is definitely a place we would love to visit again.

Beautiful location nice a peaceful after a day in the office. Ash could not do enough I really enjoyed my stay.

Ash and Harvey are amazing hosts! Beyond the accommodations, spending time with them was our favorite part of our time at the Ecton House! The room and bathroom are large. This is more like a bed and breakfast! The continental breakfast was more than a muffin and juice. They prepared eggs, toast, has muffins, different kinds of yoghurts, juices, etc. We visited the cemetery/church in front of the Ecton House and Ash personally showed us the gravestone of Benjamin Franklin's grandfather and grandmother, which was fun! They are amazing hosts. This house is truly a perfect central location! It is about an hour from Cambridge, an hour from Oxford, an hour from London, and an hour from Stratford-upon-Avon (Shakespeare's birth and burial place). When we return to England we will be staying here! There's great food places nearby (a couple within yards of the Ecton House and some about 10-15 minutes into Northampton).

Very comfortable hotel that is ony doing B&B at the moment in 2 rooms. Owners very friendly and chatty, Not the usual corporate run of the mill establishment
