Lovely historic building, room was comfortable and clean, very good shower. Staff very friendly.

This is a novelty choice that we thoroughly enjoyed. Where else can you say you’ve stayed at a hotel built in 1475 and reputedly hosted King Henry VIII? The front of the hotel looks very much from the Middle Ages and could use a refresh (if preservationists would allow it). The public house on the ground floor looks like it’s been serving patrons reliably for centuries and was full of life. Our extra large room was amazing with its stained glass windows overlooking the high street , and decorated with assorted 200 year old furniture & a four poster (and very comfortable) bed. The bathroom is thoroughly modern and clean. The experience was a fun treat. And the staff was super helpful. If modern accommodations is more your speed this property is probably not for you but if you enjoy an out of the box experience and a taste of time long ago, make a reservation to spend the night here!

The bath/shower in our room was good but getting into it with my dodgy knees was difficult. a grab handle on the wall would help. Menu for evening meal was limited (changing your menu choices so many things no longer available) . Pie was excellent but veg poor, carrots were rock hard. Staff friendly and helpful.

This was an old building, and we expected it to have a few cobwebs, and yet there were none. restaurant staff were great and very obliging, especially on the day we overslept breakfast. The manager could not have been more helpful. The breakfast was spectacularly overwhelming, and the bar, given it was a bit small, managed still to be friendly, warm and inviting. We booked this hotel as a previous hotel mis-booked us, the George and Pilgrims was a serendipitous find

Everything is perfect but the pillows are too hard. The history of the Hotel is impressive. Good location.

A great old and historic hotel with tons of atmosphere.. like staying in a legend...

Breakfast ok but no healthy options. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The floor of Room 8 slopes and therefore so does the bed. Pillows very hard and too thick for comfort. The room was very hot even though it was only early May. Only one window could be opened, the others had broken catches/broken frame.

Excellent accommodation and staff

This is a 600 year old hotel. Dont let the facade fool you. It has incredible charm. The property is well maintained and the obvious age makes the experience unique. The room was spotless and well appointed. The bar and reception was warm. I loved my stay here and will be returning if im back.

This hotel has a nearly five hundred year history that is lovingly preserved by its friendly, courteous, and helpful staff. Centrally located in Glastonbury, it is a cosy community space frequented by locals and pilgrims alike. The hotel is a wonderful place to enjoy a drink in its bar or spend the night in one of its comfortable rooms. As to whether it is haunted, well, stay the night and find out for yourself. Either way, It is a genuine pleasure.
