On arriving I was the outside appearance was a bit of a shock and I doubted wether as a single female traveller to stay there was some rooms where the curtains in the windows was torn down , broken chair outside , some of the other guests was outside let's just say was enjoying a few pints etc but I gave it a benefit of the doubt and went and checked in so I could see what the room was like before making a disision wether to not stay. Arriving at check out the duty manager checked me in and gave me an upstairs room , not the one which was requested but was sorted at another time. Rooms are ok , bedding and towels clean Can say about the shower power etc as I couldn't climb in the bath to have one and another guests comment at breakfast of "don't worry there are cameras every where " made me feel a little uncomfortable easy. Breakfast if included is continental style went to do some toast and all the bread was mouldy , took some pictures and showed the member of staff on the desk who asked how did I know its mouldy etc mm come and check for yourself , I will give him credit he did go to the local garage and get a fresh loaf , Tip though if you have any other milk ie semi skimmed , oat, almond etc take your own as they only provide whole milk ( blue label) although they wouldn't of known my dietary requirements it may be nice to cater for other requirements., so black tea and a minute amount of milk on cereals due to health reasons .

After driving seven hours I arrived only to be told by a receptionist with a passing acquaintance with English, that the room was no longer available. Due to the sizeable event I was attending all the other hotels in the area were full, so I drove back the same night. Not quite living up to their mission statement hung on the wall which states they aim to ensure the happiness of all guests.

Absolutely awful. I spent 30 minutes in the room before deciding to book a travelodge down the road and left as soon as possible. I’m not a fussy person and can sleep anywhere but this has to be the worst place I’ve stayed, (attempted to stay). The smell was awful. The carpets were disgusting and sticky. Bathroom full of mould and rust. Stains on walls. Pictures on the walls ripped. Genuinely felt the room was a health hazard which is why I decided to leave. The only good thing I can say is the receptionist kindly waited for me to arrive as I didn’t get there until late. Need to contact someone to discuss a refund. Pictures on hotels.com are faked and nothing like the reality. Even the picture of the outside of the hotel is faked. Happy guests lodge? I’m sorry but that should NOT be the name. Please please avoid. Save yourself the trouble and spend a tiny bit more for guaranteed cleanliness and comfort.

I have stayed here many times before and not really experienced any issues. This time the check in wasn't to my satisfaction. I booked a studio room with a double bed only to be given room 16 with 2 single beds. The receptionist also asked for ID and took a photo of my drivers licence which I'm sure is a breach of GDPR. Communication with receptionist could have been better. Also thought the security could have been better as the front door was left ajar all thought out my stay. I am due to stay here x2 further times this year so hopefully things will improve.

This hotel is absolutely disgusting, it’s like something out shameless!!! I took my 3 kids to watch the superbikes we pulled in to the car park to with 3 people drinking out a whiskey bottle swearing & been roudy.. The receptionist was very rude! The room was discussing mould on the walls in the bathroom & a big old poo stain down the front of the toilet, I requested new sheets as the ones provided had been used as they had brown marks all over the pillow cases form somebody’s foundation or fake tan The fridge was berry loud & kept me awake half the night This hotel is clearly needs to be unconditioned as a hotel

Parking good. Breakfast very basic but there’s a Greg’s next door in the service station. Overall the place is a bit tired but then no complaints because it was a lot cheaper than travel lodge etc. would I go there again - probably.

Parking is easy, free, small and simple. The hotel is basic but does the job, decor within the rooms is a little tired/would benefit from a freshen up (front doorbell and lock broken, a loose wall light etc) and cleanliness was satisfactory but not the highest standard. Simple tea and coffee in the room, nice fresh towels and staff are extremely helpful & accommodating. Our original room's tv was faulty- staff were quick to respond to issue and when it couldn't be repaired we we're upgraded to a slightly larger room swiftly at no extra cost. Simple breakfast options of toast, cereal, tea and coffee and fruit juice available in the morning included in the price of the room. It's a friendly no frills hotel, does the job, we will use again

Free parking comfortable clean beds. The was sum what a bit grubby really could do with a deep clean & a spruce up. Tv signal absolutely rubbish. Ok for a base just to get your head down. Staff are polite & pleasant. Greggs next door.

Very basic room, was cold, simple breakfast, place needs some upgrades. Bed was comfortable, walls were pretty thin

The room was clean but the bathroom toilet arrangement was curious. Staff were brilliant and helpful The heater in my room didn’t work so was freezing all the time I was there Everything else was fine bed very clean etc

Cheap and plenty of parking. Exactly as i needed. Has the feel of a tired Travelodge but at half the price. Staff were very helpful and accommodating.

First room given shower didn’t work permanently cold water that cascaded not from the shower head but out the side and bottom of the heating unit- window would not shut it was warped - second room was better but as with the first room dome light bulbs were missing or blown - breakfast which had a very positive mention on the hotel website was awful!!! No milk for the cereals or coffee no butter for toast no croissants as advertised all in all a shocking hotel and I wouldn’t want to stay there again!!!
