I booked Abode Manchester more than a month in advance, and one of the main reasons I chose this hotel was because it was clearly stated that the rooms had air conditioning. However, when I arrived, I was told that the air conditioning was broken in all rooms throughout the hotel. At first, I thought I could manage by opening a window to get some ventilation — but to my surprise, the windows could not be opened at all. I called the front desk for help, and the manager eventually confirmed that the windows were designed not to open. Their only solution was to provide an extra fan. While the fan looked nice, it was far too weak to make a difference. To make things worse, the ceiling light bulbs gave off heat, making the room even more uncomfortable. With the heatwave going on during our stay, the room remained extremely hot and stuffy, even past midnight. It was impossible to sleep — even without wearing any clothes, I was sweating constantly. Honestly, if the air conditioning wasn’t working, that’s understandable — but why weren’t we notified in advance? A simple message would have allowed us to cancel and find somewhere else to stay. Not informing guests and still advertising rooms as air-conditioned feels misleading, if not deceptive. Very disappointed with this experience.

The staff were fantastic, the building is beautiful, and the location is excellent. However, most of the food on the menu is unavailable and the food they do serve is awful. It seems to have been sitting around long after its best-before date. The water was also shut off due to repair work. This will be a great hotel when they're done working on it... It's not fair to take bookings while this is happening though.

Evening meal wasn’t great. Super salty and the restaurant felt a little grubby. A shame because it has been good in the past when it was Abode.

The hotel is well placed for walking around central Manchester and close to buses and trams. Our room was very nice and comfortable but unfortunately very hot overnight. Parking was close by with a hotel discount. All the staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful.

Hotel good . Just breakfast service dragged the score down for me . If you have a "wait to be seated " sign in the restaurant then the staff should be prompt at coming to you . I saw one couple come in as walk ins and walked out after not being greeted .Once seated they take ages to take your order without coming over to see if you would like coffee / tea first . Perhaps better training , better staff or the hotel is fine with this ?

Did not use any parking. Many shops close by

Great Breakfast

Great location for Piccadilly train station and city centre shopping. Staff all really friendly. Room was spotless just a little tired, think ready for a revamp

Lovely spacious room, friendly staff and good location.

Large room, with high ceilings and everything you'd need. Early check in granted and they stored our bags for us after check out. Room wasn't overly soundproof (street noise and corridor) and breakfast was very disappointing.
