We absolutely loved our stay at HerdwickS. The staff were all lovely. Our sons loved chatting to Mark, it was so kind that he took the time to talk and joke with them. The room was beautiful and absolutely spotless, with everything we could need including bottles of water and even robes and slippers. One of the nicests rooms we've stayed in. The beds were comfortable and the shower nice and powerful. The breakfasts were delicious. We had lunch on the patio which was lovely being able to sit out and enjoy the lovely weather, it was busy and had a great atmosphere. We also had a lunch and two evening meals inside the bistro, there is a fab menu and loads of specials. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were huge! The chocolate orange cake comes very highly recommended by our sons! There's so much to do around the hotel, we enjoyed walking around the nature reserve, going to the beach, there is a fabulous big park just down the road in Millom which the children loved. We didn't have time to have a go but the watersports based on the caravan park looked great fun. Thanks so much for a wonderful time xx
