Very comfortable stay, warm with extremely comfortable beds. Nice plush carpeting

Making sure that the room is ready before guested check in and staff are available at breakfast time and not leave guest waiting.

Not recommended: I messaged the hotel to ask for a later check-out time. The hotel did not respond at all. I found this to be impolite. I consumed breakfast. The English breakfast was of very low quality. The coffee was exceedingly weak. The server prepared the table for the subsequent guests after the table adjacent to me had finished. To begin, she arranged the cutlery for four guests on the bench's bare seat without placing anything beneath it. Only a few minutes ago, a guest was seated on that bench. Subsequently, she cleaned the table and placed the cutlery on it. I was so disgusted by this that I refrained from continuing with my breakfast. How they manage kitchen hygiene is not even something I'm interested in knowing.

Clean room, friendly staff on reception

Cleaning of bathroom not good. Only one member of staff to check people in, we were 8th in queue and the key card system failed and we couldn’t get in our room.

We have stayed at this hotel previously and was dissapointed but we had heard it it had been refurbished so thought we would try again was pleasantly surprised it was clean and comfortable

Accessible room was excellent catering well for disabled visitors. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Cafe at the hotel served up the best ice cream, cake and sausage roll Ives tasted. All at a reasonable price

There is no soundproofing and the staff do nothing about other guests running riot knocking on doors, running down corridors shouting and screaming. If you want to report anything to reception, you have to run the gauntlet past drunken youths in the early hours of the morning to ask for assistance. Staff uninterested. Will never stay again

Restaurant vegetarian options limited so didnt eat there, bit noisy from traffic , but we are not used to it

Very happy with cleanliness of room and hotel. Restaurant open till late so got a meal at 9pm after other places had closed. Food very good and all the young staff very polite friendly and helpful. Good value for money. The hotel needs to stress that the breakfast deal for residents is only applicable between 7am and 9am.
