A fantastic hotel in a great location. Easy to find with ample car parking at the rear. Warm welcome at reception and friendly efficient service. Room was immaculate and very well maintained. Great night’s sleep, quiet location and comfortable bed. Breakfast was fab, staff friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend and would happily stay there again. Thank you to all the staff at the Mayfield for a very comfortable stay.

I have given five stars all round as it was well deserved. The bed was very comfortable, there was a wine cooler/fridge and a safe in the room, plenty of hanging and drawer space in the triple wardrobe. The room was much better than we had expected.

They let themselves down with no house keeping in our room. Stayed for two nights & had to ask for towel changes, coffee, milk, tea.
No room cleaning done at all. I’m sure this was an oversight but spoiled our stay.
Having said that hotel/rooms & food first class👍

Stayed for my brothers wedding. Clean comfortable room, friendly staff. Good food reasonably priced. Only downgraded as my wife fell down a step that wasn’t clearly marked, no staff came to check she was ok. Maybe because she picked herself up and said she was ok.
