非法嘈吵！根本無辦法開窗！無法開窗，也沒有空氣流動。還好洒店員工提供多一把風扇。另一間房有濃烈油漆味，非常失望！

A very charming place to stay at. We traveled with two kids and they loved the bunk bed in the room. We stayed at one of the "cabins" right by the entrance and it was very cute. The only inconvenience is the bathroom shower does not have a door which makes it hard not to have a wet floor. Overall we are very happy with the stay and would recommend this place to others.

Lovely hotel with an interesting history. Beautiful gardens. Deck chairs in the lower flower garden a nice touch. Excellent room. I have some mobility issues and was given a disabled access room which was almost perfect. (A chair in the large shower area would have made it so.) Service was very good, as were the breakfasts. One can't expect cask ale in a hotel, but there was a passable pale ale on keg and a pleasing range of Fever Tree tonics. Prices not too bad. Light not working reported one morning and it was fixed within hours. A bush branch was partly obstructing a path one morning and was trimmed back. ( I had not reported it.) Why not five stars? Simple. The perpetual piped musak. It is seemingly compulsory these days, but it just annoys me. (I have spoken to a lot of friends about this. Just about all of them agree with me.) I was put off eating in the restaurant by this, and if the weather had been inclement I'd have gone down the pub instead of using the bar and sitting outside. Nonetheless an enjoyable stay in an interesting town. Hotel not cheap but overall (almost) excellent.

Good location, but not a four-star experience The hotel is in a very good location, close to York city centre. The lobby and décor are attractive, spacious and particularly suitable for groups who want to spend time together in the hotel. Reception was fine, but the overall service did not feel four-star. Our standard room was probably the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Breakfast was mixed: the Full Yorkshire Breakfast was good, but the avocado toast with eggs and the pancakes were large yet lacked quality and presentation. They also had no proper espresso and served instant coffee in an espresso cup, which was disappointing. The worst issue was that the water completely stopped working on our final morning, so I had to leave the hotel without being able to shower.

The only negative was the size of the shower cubicle really small (our room Cosy Room) maybe just in those rooms and larger in the bigger rooms? Something to keep in mind!

Tucked away inside the historic city walls, Middletons is a beautiful hotel in an historic building set within a pretty courtyard with its own gardens – a peaceful oasis while being minutes' away from Fairfax House and the Museum Gardens. We were offered a complimentary upgrade to the stylish Lady Anne room, featuring nice touches like a full-size bathtub and White Company toiletries. The breakfast was excellent, and we were spoiled for choice – trying different options on each morning of our three-day stay. Next time we're back in York, we'll be glad to stay at the Middleton's again.

Wonderful sized large room. Very comfortable large bed. Loved the solid wood wardrobes. The bathroom was large bath and shower. Hand cream and body wash device ne smell. The staff were so welcoming, helpful and extremely efficient. Breakfast was excellent quality and range of choices. Would definitely choose this hotel again. So handy to walk to the centre and the races. Car free for the weekend loved it.

The accommodation provided was significantly below the standard represented in the photographs displayed online and did not reflect the quality I reasonably expected based on the price I paid. The room and facilities differed materially from the images used to market the property, resulting in a disappointing and misleading experience. The room was not the cleanest either with dust over the walls and lampshade. The food at the bar was ok however I would not recommend to get the fish and chips as it was so salty that was not edible. Following a discussion with the hotel manager, I was informed that this discrepancy arose because I made my reservation through a comparison website rather than booking directly with the hotel. I find this explanation unacceptable. Regardless of the booking channel used, the accommodation provided should correspond to the description and images presented at the time of booking. Customers should not receive an inferior room or experience simply because they booked through a third-party platform, particularly where this was neither disclosed nor made clear before payment. The expectation created by the online listing formed an integral part of my decision to book and of the price I agreed to pay. Had I been aware that the room allocated would not match the advertised standard, I would have reconsidered my booking.

We had a very stressful check-in as the receptionist insisted I had made two separate bookings and that one of our rooms was only for one night, the other for two. I had my Expedia email for both rooms both for 2 nights. We asked for quiet rooms so were given room next to the road, overlooking the carpark entrance and the bins! My colleague was given a ground floor room with a window opening onto the street which made her feel uncomfortable. We went to discuss with reception and they insisted we were wrong and the room was not a street level. 3 times we had to repeat it and each time we were dismissed. On the 4th repeat the receptionist agreed and changed the room. There is no lift and no offer of help with 3 flights of stairs. When I spoke to the duty manager about the lift he simply told me it says about the lack of lifts on the webpage. I was in room 35. The room was a good size but the bathroom was small with no shelving for toiletries - I had to use the bedside table. The bathrobes were lovely. Any complaints were met with highly defensive responses. The breakfast team were lovely and very helpful. However the buffet selection was very un-inspiring though there was a good cooked breakfast menu.

Just a few minutes walk from the city center. Quiet, clean, cozy and well maintained.
