The staff were very helpful. The pub has unique history in a lovely town.

It’s an old property with lots of character uneven floors and lots of steps it’s lovely and clean although rooms are a bit dated and some quite small has some outside rooms with private entrances We had a shower over a bath which may be difficult for some one elderly to use so I’d specify if you have any specific needs The food was good basic pub grub and breakfast was excellent Parking is easy and free for residents just make sure you register your number plate when you arrive The hotel is very central in the town so lots of places within walking distance

Clean and functional room with clean bathroom. Large bed. Great breakfast

Very nice small 8 (as far as I could tell) room Inn. Clean room, internet good - streamed Netflix OK. Restaurant nice with a few veggies choices. Very close to town center. And they had a decent cider on tap. Car park at rear is quite small.

Location is great. Room a bit old and small but pub is cosy and comfortable.

The bins had not been emptied when we arrived in the room at 5.30pm.so we had our doubts that the room had been cleaned correctly or just skimped over, let the duty manager know and she apologised.....think they were short staffed being a Sunday, but this is not good enough and not the standard we are used to

Clean and comfortable room

The staff could not have been more helpful - David in particular - at reception and in serving breakfast. This really makes all the difference after a tiring day travelling. It was lovely having table service at breakfast. I was able to take my dinner to my room which I really appreciated too. The bed was one of the best hotel beds/mattresses I have slept on and I had a very good night's sleep. The carpark was conveniently placed for my hotel room also. All of these things, together with the warm welcome and just-right service, would make me recommend the hotel to others and return there myself.

Old pub with all the quirkiness. Staff very friendly, room comfortable but carpet needs a shampoo! Ringwood, always loved it.

It was ok

Good value with comfortable bed and first rate breakfast Clean and check in quick and straightforward Only downside was that the room was rather airless and would have benefited from a cooling fan

All the staff were very polite and helpful. Dave is an asset to the hotel, very good at his job. The chefs are amazing, roast dinner is just like your nans! especially the yorkshire puds! will def stay again.

This stay was reasonably priced but, whilst you get what you pay for, the place was tired and run down. On saying that, it was clean-ish and the location good.

Very Nice

The staff were very nice and helpful. I was shown a better room upstairs, but knew my wife couldn’t walk up two flights so I was shown a room at ground level. This was ideal. It was smaller, but the beds were very comfortable and clean. Coffee and tea making facilities were good. Hairdryer and tv good. There was not enough hanging space and no drawers, The carpet would benefit from a clean. The bathroom was a good size and the shower, bath, sink and toilet were very clean and served their purpose. The white towels were white and nice and soft. A new mirror wouldn’t go amiss. The breakfast was very nice. Compliments to the chef. I could have done with some jam or marmalade for the toast, but we didn’t ask and none was offered. The pub itself was a spacious size. All the tables were very clean. By the end of our stay we quite liked our room. It just needed a little tlc in places. This is not a five star hotel, but for what we paid we were quite happy. The room was very basic, but suited our needs. Thank you.
