Clean room, comfortable bed. Good food and staff were very accommodating and helpful.

Blocked sink in bathroom. Despite completing check in on expedia had to check in again upon arrival after a 4 hour drive. Despite calling the hotel in advance to ascertain whether the pool was for only 18's and being advised it was available to ALL guests, we were told the pool was for over 18's only on arrival. Husband did go to the health spa but no one at reception to provide a towel so he didnt use the pool. We had a family room which a had sofa bed the matress was terrible could feel every spring. Only options to rectify this was to change mattress which was just as bad. Was then provided with 2 duvets instead to use as a topper- which made no real difference. The air con unit was so noisy we could not use it which meant the room was so hot. We all had a bad stay. Breakfast was very reasonably priced, good quality and variety of food. Restaurant for dinner was expensive but the indian dishes were delicious and large portion sizes.

No work lift...I came to stay at this hotel with my baby daughter as I had a family function to attend...prior to coming I asked for a ground floor room...only to realise that there were steps to the room and no working lift. Reception told me to walk outside around the hotel pass a feild to get to the front ..so the event I attended finished late in the evening...did they really expect to walk in the dark and cold secluded side entrance to enter the property... TERRIBLE. ALSO the fridge in the room was faulty didnt go cold at all...I couldn't keep baby milk cool. And the phone line in the room didn't work- they said the phone line in that room was faulty. Reception told me to use my own phone call. Honestly it is not worth the money...and they need to notify people before taking a booking if the lift is out of order. I do not recommend.

where to start - the hotel very poorly maintained and run down. our original room the shower floor was rusted and had this mouldy smell.. i complained and we were put into another room which also had rust and a moldy smell.. i turned the ac in to get rid of the smell and the ac had a squeaky noise.. the curtains had mold.. it was so bad that we left the room early everyday just to get out.

The room had a constant fizzing sound fun the air conditioner, the light at the table flickered constantly, the loo roll holder was loose, the fridge did not refrigerate. The smoke alarm illuminated the room on n off every few seconds throughout the night,.no eye masks on offer to rectify. The rest toom next to pool smelt strongly of body odour.

The entire hotel is really well kept everything is clean and bright they obviously take pride in it and the old building is lovely Staff are all really friendly and make you feel welcome from reception to the spa and bar area

I’m really surprised that the positive ratings for this hotel. It was a best, average. The room was very dated, like going back in time. The food in the restaurant was okay, however it was ruined by large groups of people vaping in the dining area not caring about those around them. I would’ve thought the managers would’ve stopped it, but they didn’t seem to care.

I booked a superior room with king bed but I was located at standard double room. Staff said I’m wrong and it’s same room… but I paid more for bigger room… no water in room.. need ti buy in restaurant 300ml for £3.50

Lovely hotel very clean and tidy and staff very friendly

We were not provided with the room service breakfast which was promised, and our request for a refund in this respect was totally ignored and denied on both the morning in question and in a follow up written request. The hotel was given over 2 weeks to respond and we have not been contacted at all or acknowledged in any way. This was our first stay here and we did anticipate that very many more stays would follow over the next few months, but we shall now stay elsewhere.

We stayed for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The staff were very obliging to ensure our Christmas lunch went to plan. We were glad there was plenty of space in the room, with a clean and tidy hotel that was nicely decorated.
