Our room seemed defunct of central heating ( dated radiators not working) and was reliant on a small , portable, oil filled radiator. Beds were comfortable. Shower ‘rose’ was seemingly blocked and only provided a ‘gentle’ flow of warm water whereas the taps in the washbasin gave decidedly hot water - odd. The staff were incredibly polite and keen to please although not particularly smartly dressed. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay , plentiful, with beautiful smoked haddock and the poached eggs a delight.

Not enough seats for everyone at breakfast, had to wait 20 mins for coffee, which was then tasteless. Menu was varied and good choice, but attracting staff to order it was impossible, then order was wrong when arrived. Room was dated, but clean and functional. Gym and pool area needs some money spending on it. Could be a splendid place if investment allowed, but with so much other local competition not sure what it’s usp would be.

We were given a lovely room. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Nice quiet place to stay.

Wonderful staff and very enjoyable stay

Parkeren was gratis en makkelijk, receptioniste was heel vridndelijk en snel, bar/ restaurant personeel zeer vriendelijk en snel. Ontbijt okk goed en lekker.

Lovely big traditional room. Lovely friendly staff. Parking nice and easy. Good choice of breakfast.

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff and excellent food.

Great value for money especially with breakfast and leisure facilities available. Ample parking and walkable into Falmouth if you don’t mind a hill! Bedrooms are very spacious, slightly outdated but did the job. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Comfortable

We enjoyed our stay at Penmere Manor. The staff were great, assisting with dinner recommendations and questions about the area. We had a family room with our daughter. The room was large giving us plenty of space. We ate breakfast and dinner in the convenient onsite restaurant.

Lovely atmosphere, views and staff were amazing

Nice stay in old hotel. Room s atisfactory and clean with pleasant view over garden. Excellent breakfast. Excellent evening meal at reasonable cost. We walked into town but it was a long hilly walk into Falmouth so you need to drive into town.

Pleasant and professional staff in all areas. Breakfast and Dinner excellent, good food, well presented, varied menu.

Loved the original features. Staff were all attentive. Some areas if the building and grounds looked a little tired but everywhere is fully functioning. Comfortable and big bed. Windows can be opened fully. Sounds do travel easily. Sadly didn't manage to use the pool/gym facilities.

Quite dated but nice room. Breakfast was good and great location. Gardens were lovely too.

In many ways it is very good but one young waiter needs further training and supervision.Presentation of hot bread rolls on paper napkins needs reviewing

Friendly staff, very good food and nice swimming pool and jacuzzi

Overall we had a lovely stay. However, there are areas of the Hotel that are definitely tired and need updating. Initially our room was very disappointing, threadbare carpet, broken bath panel, and tap came off. Luckily reception were able to upgrade us to a better room, which was a lot nicer and more comfortable. The communal areas were good, staff very attentive and friendly. Good outside space. Swimming pool, sauna area again need some attention and upgrading, but it was nice to have the facilities.
