Very nice hotel close to town good for pubs and shops really love this hotel stayed many times and will again.

Madie was very helpful on reception even recommended us a great local Indian restaurant . The hotel is old and tired . The room was clean , no house keeping and we stayed 3 night . But if you ask they will get things for you . Good value for the price.

From the outside not very appealing would not have chosen it if I had been looking for accommodation but was pleasantly surprised when we walked in, very friendly staff and large clean room, they are dog friendly

Nice hotel and good staff. We were told to check in at 3 but room wasn't ready, took another 40 minutes!! Room was nice but pillows very hard. Breakfast was disappointing, bacon had a strange taste hash browns overcooked mushrooms very greasy.

Everything was par for the stay

Breakfast mediocre. Tinned peaches and some proons is not ideal.

We booked two rooms - one of which hadn't been cleaned on arrival but staff were very helpful and quick to sort an alternative room. Rooms are run down unfortunately and could do with some TLC in places. But the rooms are a really good size so as a large family across two rooms we didn't feel cramped. Car park is chargeable which doesn't guarantee you a space in there. We wne to out to find the car park very full despite having already paid so just something to be mindful of. Booked through Expedia - and Brittannia sent an online check in through Expedia messages. It originally said it failed, so did it again and I've now been charged double for one of the rooms. So would recommend just checking in at the hotel and not use their online form!

Didn't use catering offers. but hotel was convenient for our visit to the theatre and in easy reach of Southport town centre.

Nice hotel stay quite a bit close to shops and pubs nice staff and was checked on quickly always stay when in Southport.

The room was clean and comfortable.

Rooms nice and warm

We returned to the hotel after celebrating our wedding ceremony there in 2013. We travelled from Somerset for a Valentines Day night away. We were put in a room just off the lobby/bar/reception. The corridor the room was on was high traffic. Little did we know there was an event on with coach loads of guests coming. We returned from an evening meal to extremely loud live entertainment and the lobby/bar full of people. The noise from the bedroom was loud with people outside the door shouting and swearing. It is quite unbelievable that they expect guests to rest or sleep in a room so close to night entertainment when events are on. We were told by reception that there were no rooms to move us to and so we ended up leaving. We did not want to put ourselves through the torture of enduring it all through the night.

Absolutely luved the room the views was amazing!! So clean and no problems!! Staff luvley. Absolutely Coming back!! Pity your full on the Birthday dates I've requested

It was bloody freezing had to put my son in with me and have 2 blankets over us lol not worth £98 for the night should have stayed in the van lol

Our second stay in this hotel. Check in staff very friendly, room we were allocated was roomy, comfortable and clean, breakfast fairly standard (with very hard working staff).

Been disabled was paramount. As long as parking on hotel front was guranteed, then this hotel was excellent for me. I enjoyed close parking, easy access, gr8 breakfast options. Good staff A pool or games room would put extra stars on what is already good value for money.

Easy to walk into town. Parking available at a fee. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Hope hotel continues to be refreshed

I booked a sea view room. Stunning views over the Promenade. Look, it’s a very old hotel, so maintenance is needed constantly. Creaking floor boards and dated corridors. That comes with the territory. My room was superb, clean and bright. I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast (12.50) if a walk in. Piping hot, good selection, spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed, nice and quiet, very helpful reception staff.
