The hotel is part of a historic inn which was very atmospheric. We stayed in a family room for 3 people and the room was warm and cosy and welcoming as we arrived just before 9pm and it was a bit chilly in the countryside. Breakfast was excellent and in a nice dining room in a genuine rural setting. Service was friendly & excellent.

Pleasant stay and lovely Thai lady who was very accommodating. Accommodation has everything you need but overall the property is tired and is need of some TLC and attention to bring it up to date .

I must first of all say the staff are lovely and the food was good pub food. Now for the room! I have never experienced staying in a room when the people next door flush the Loo, take a shower and turn on a tap creates a ridiculously loud noise in the room i was staying in. I had very little sleep. I travel every week for work and stay in similar places this at over £112.50 including breakfast was very expensive the room was incredibly basic, bed was not comfortable, no fan and it was warm. No room snacks or water, tea bags handed and in a tin. As i said all very basic. Oh and you need to be very small to use the bathroom smallest i have ever seen. To top off a sleepless night we then stood in the car park for just over 15 mins waiting for them to get up to have breakfast along with other guests. This then made us late for our meeting. To finish on a high the pub is in a lovely location and would be ideal for walking break.

It really was a fantastic stop over in every way.

Staff were lovely and friendly - food was excellent and great service. Rooms were comfy if a little basic, but would stay there again.

Very friendly staff and the owner as a chef was great. Nice quiet place to stay, no road noise.

Stayed here for a night recently. Rooms and decor are clean, tidy and comfortable and in keeping with the buildings age. The small team are all very welcoming , friendly and extremely hospitable , making you feel at ease and comfortable without being excessively ott. The evening menu was very well presented and of excellent quality. Breakfast was again very well organised with all the expected ingredients of continental and cooked elements with a variety of coffees , teas and juices . Beautiful location , very “darling buds of May”. The only thing you should be aware of is the restaurant and bar open after 6pm so if you arrive earlier in the day for a lunchtime meal or drink you’ll have to pop to one of the other local pubs.

Peaceful retreat in a beautiful English village

Wi fi might not work in room, depending on which room you are in. Breakfast good. Evening Meal was great. Traditional village pub feel. Close to major road link.

The hotel was delightful, the rooms were a good size and the beds were extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food plentiful. A very enjoyable stay.

Peace & Tranquility , great place , top nosh & plentiful. Breakfast was freshly cooked & delicious. Highly Recommended

The Hotel is a quaint little old fashioned place in what can only be described as the middle of nowhere. The room was very comfortable and does everything you need from a hotel room. They could put some shower gel in the bathroom though. It was unusual not to find those small extras.

What a lovely little hidden gem! Beautiful little hotel & bar, absolutely outstanding food, friendly staff, couldn't do enough to help. Will definitely be using this hotel again for business.
