The Somerset House was a lovely hotel. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom was very nice. Good hot shower and the room was serviced. The food for breakfast was really good. We had family join us for breakfast and they were very impressed. The only negatives were the very limited parking on the streets nearby and the fact that the room had a small wardrobe but no luggage rack or anything else so we had bags suitcase and shoes just laying around the room. More storage would have been nice. Overall though excellent and very quiet. We will stay again we we are next visiting Southsea.

An older classic hotel in a quieter part of town. The room and bathroom were in good condition. The hotel is 15 minute walk to a lot of food options.

Gute fußläufige Lage zu Meer und Zentrum. Leider war der Frühstückservice z. T. arg demotiviert und gleichgültig. Wünschenswert wären auch Trinkwasser im Zimmer sowie eine sorgfältigere Zimmerreinigung, die bemerkt, dass das Waschbecken anscheinend bereits länger leckt und der Unterschrank komplett durchnässt ist. Der unangenehme Feuchtigkeitsgeruch im Bad scheint dem Personal längerfristig entgangen zu sein.

The Somerset House was a lovely hotel. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom was very nice. Good hot shower and the room was serviced. The food for breakfast was really good. I was disappointed at the lack of "extras", which I had expected for the price I paid.
This was booked as a surprise for my husband, and was expecting more of a " wow", which was embarrassing.
The room was pleasant, but not worth the high price, I'm sorry to say.
The pillows were hard and lumpy, and the beverage selection quite poor, with only sachets of coffee and milk.
This doesn't make me happy to leave negative comments, but as this was supposed to be a special trip, I feel I need to have my say.

only negative was charged 3 50 for bottle of water which could have been out of tap not a sealed top.
And was a bit far out from main town
