Spotless, luxurious, friendly staff and superb food

An old hotel with lots of charm, in an outstanding village

Wonderful experience! My husband and I did a last minute trip to the Cotswold and found this gem a few days before. Completely in love with the property and the staff was so incredibly welcoming and kind. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Lovely place to stay, staff were super friendly - would recommend!

Really loved the hotel and the surrounding area. Staff has a tough job keeping the street traffic out of their private, residence only garden and it was a bit hard to enjoy a quiet afternoon with so many day-visiting tourists walking around us. Otherwise, the food and hospitality is top-notch and everyone’s very friendly.

The breakfast was great, but the furniture and decoration are quite old. This historic building is more than 400 yrs old so there are some uncomfortability like room temperature and opening the windows, etc.

Property was stunning. Good food. The staff especially Hugh were amazing!

Beautiful hotel-a must stay.

Lovely little hotel in an amazing location. We had a lovely time at the hotel, but there were quite a few maintenance points that you would expect to be addressed. The food on the whole was ok, but somehow missed the mark and the breakfast service on both days seemed disorganised.

The elevator was greatly appreciated and the room and bathroom were nicely decorated. The breakfast was excellent. The area around the hotel was very scenic.

Staying at The Swan Hotel is truly like stepping foot into a fairy tale. It really does look as beautiful as in the pictures. All of the staff from the front desk to the bartender to the waiters in the restaurant were welcoming and made us feel at home. I wish I could have stayed longer and I will be dreaming of the day I can return.

Walking distance to Bibury Trout Farm, as we are meeting a few friends for a fishing adventure and a picnic.

Wonderful and charming inn in super charming village. Huge bathroom, well-appointed and very clean room. Great restaurant with friendly staff.

The staff were wonderful from booking in to to dining at the property to checking out. I was very happy with the experience. The cleanliness in the room was very good, but in the shower I noticed black mold in a few places on the grout. I personally am not allergic to the mold but many people are. Perhaps the shower area should be inspected on a weekly basis?

Cosy rooms and fantastic scenery right in the middle of Bibury.

Tough parking. Food only adequate. Good staff. No elevator to top floor. No bellman.
