Clean room, staff & amenities were great

Very friendly guy at reception upgraded us rooms due to a technical error over booking Rooms was freshly decorated Great location only being 15 minute walk from city centre

Just on the outskirts of Newcastle.off main road to the coast.The hotel was ideal for our visit,also right next to cricket ground.We enjoyed our stay and will use this hotel again.

Great place to stay whilst visiting our daughter at uni. Comfortable. Friendly host.

Superb staff, great breakfast, good location

Everything as expected with no fuss! Manager was a sound bloke, unfortunately we weren’t able to check out the breakfast but enjoyed our stay none the less

The manager was incredibly accommodating and couldn't do enough for us. We where up for my brothers stag party from Liverpool and he was super warm and friendly. The rooms where basic, but the rates good, good location and wifi and what more do you want for a quick trip?

Very service minded staff. Rooms were a bit cold but really comfy beds.

This property is in a good location for the city centre, we used it for a visit to northern pride so was perfect for this, good value for money, rooms nice and clean, breakfast ok, overall excellent value for the money

Within easy reach of transport both buses and metro taxis are cheap and reliable. Quiet location lovely breakfast !

good for business trip

Quiet hotel for the Jesmond area - good news. Room had small but very good en-suite , room facilities were good - kettle , good hairdryer etc except the tv which had terrible reception . Bed was comfortable . Breakfast very good and hotel offered permit parking for a £1 per night another great bonus . Reported a problem in the en-suite which was quickly rectified

The staff were friendly & service was great. However it could be noisy particularly at night from the cricket club & some guests being noisy

For the price, this is a nice little b and b. Stayed in single ensuite rooms. Bathrooms were a bit small but functional. Breakfast was very good, catering for vegetarians too. Proprietor was friendly, helpful and lovely. Car parking was no extra cost as hotel provides permits free for the duration of your stay. We stayed on a very hot weekend in July and the rooms were very hot, so I think a fan in the room would have been welcome, other than this I would stay again as it's very close to the city (20 mins walking) but not right in the centre so no problems with noise when sleeping.

I stayed in The Avenue hotel for 2 Nights and really loved that hotel .... specially impressed by breakfast offered by them in the morning.... which is served by the hotel owner... I will love to stay again the hotel on my next visit to Newcastle...
