Highly recommend this hotel 10/10 on everything looking forward to our next visit

Clean room. Food was very good.

We stayed one night, our room was upgraded at no charge which we really appreciated. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfy. We had dinner in the restaurant with friends The food was fabulous, the staff very attentive and friendly. An excellent stay, we will return and absolutely recommend.

Three negatives. The bathroom had a distinct drain/sewer smell which requires immediate attention. Only one set of towels provided for two guests. Our room (and several others) were located very close to a busy very noisy intersection with the result that from 6am sleep was impossible. This was extremely disappointing as the room rate (no breakfast included) was not inconsiderable.

It is good value. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. It is clean. Snowy white bedding and big fluffy towels but although offered it was accepted that I preferred not to have unnecessary changes of towels and bedding. It’s great to have a good restaurant on site that also offers several vegetarian options. There is a lovely little garden and good parking. Be prepared to accept that there will be traffic noise as it’s positioned on a junction.

I have often stayed at this hotel when travelling for business in the area and it never disappoints. The service, staff, ambience, excellent food and easy car parking, makes it a must stay. Always a genuine welcome and the pwners / staff happy to chat whilst you're there. Fantastic breakfast and a great dinner menu, congrats to the chef for thier consistent wonderful, tasty food.

A lovely property with a great pub. The food was excellent and thankfully the weather was sunny and warm. What a wonderful evening to eat outside in their Olive Garden. The owners and the staff were all so helpful in guiding us to a sweet evening stroll. We knew they had great reviews and they are well deserved. Our room was quiet, comfortable, and cool. Thank you!

Lovely room. Very clean and everything you need. We had breakfast the following morning which was very tasty

The noise from the road was constant all night. Very broken sleep. Room was small but fine, shower a bit weak. For the price it was fine but I would not stay again due to the noise from the road.

Great food lovely atmosphere

A lovely village pub, nice and cosy rooms, we stayed at the back of the pub and room was lovely and quiet. Nice and warm. We ate in the restaurant for our evening meal, food was delicious and service was superb! We will definitely be retuning when we get our next child free evening.

The only thing was the traffic noise if you have room road side of the hotel. also not clear about breakfast when booking.

Our stay was beyond amazing. The room was so homely and cosy, we loved it. We had an evening meal and a breakfast, the food was incredible. The staff at dinner and breakfast were so kind and welcoming, professional, completely faultless. The staff made the stay that much more special, so thank you. We cant wait to stay again.

Hotel/pub was very nice, old with lots of original features, food was amazing, great chef, will definitely be returning in the future

A great place to stay. Very friendly and helful staff. Easy parking just on the oither side of the road, lovley building and tastefully decorated comfortable rooms. Didn't dine in for dinner as we were in a rush but the dining area looked fantastic and the menu looked great. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Great little pub/inn off the A12, room was lovely, bathroom needs a bit of an update but functional and clean. Homemade biscuits 😋 a delight. I had a superior room and loved having a espresso machine for my morning brew. Food in general was fab from my burger 6oz (think chef forgot the scales, it was massive) to my mexican chicken & Avocado on 2nd night, portions great size, service i couldn't fault, all team, smiley, happy peeps.
