The staff were great, the food is excellent and reasonably priced. The rooms are larger than average and kept to a high standard. Overall a great place to stay

Very clean room, fresh sheets, towels, bathroom floor very clean! Room was very quiet , heating could be adjusted! Reception staff was very welcoming, breakfast amazing!

Easy to park and somewhere to exercise dog. Recently refurbished shower nice and big. Food excellent. Could do with more soundproofing though.

Very friendly staff. Large clean room. Very good evening meal. Duck cooked how we like it and very tasty well cooked pork. Would happily return.

I spend 2 nights mid week at the boars head. The room was outside the main building and very well laid out wiyh toiletries and snacks. My only concern was the steep step to get into the room. There was traffic noise early mirnimg and evening but it didnt keep me awake All in all a lovely stay and i would return.

Very welcoming and attentive staff. We will definitely visit again so that we can sample the food in the restaurant, which smelt delicious.

A good stay here,(5 nights)easy to find,easy to park and plenty of spaces. Great staff,all we met were friendly and helpful. Fan in room good in the hot weather,good food well priced,in restaurant. We stayed in deluxe room which gave us extra space and 2 chairs in room. a little dated in bathroom area but all very clean.Some road noise when windows were open but not a huge issue for us,we would happily return to the Boars Head

The room was great functional but stylish and comfy. Bed was lovely and the shower was awesome. Staff were brilliant nothing was too much trouble and the food was excellent. Will definitely go again

Spacious hotel and grounds with tree lined drive, large gardens and plenty of parking. The rooms were spacious and airy, the bar/restaurant had a welcoming feel and the food was lovely. All the staff were pleasant and cheerful, made our Peak District trip very memorable. Highly recommended, will definitely be staying here if visiting the area again.

We had a lovely warm greet when we arrived. The room was very comfortable. We had a very tasty meal in the restaurant that had a good atmosphere.
