All the chairs in the bar and lounge had sides to them not suitable for big people apart from that the hotel was very nice

Old fashioned but done the job

Clean room, quiet stay which is what I wanted as it was a work stay

There was no information whatsoever in our room i.e. Dining Times or contact numbers . I was taken ill overnight and into the whole of next day , tried to obtain Doctor via 111 but gave up . A member of Cleaning staff , , was very helpful , gave us number for Reception and Ferry Company . Reported to Reception being ill but male person offered no help . I managed to bring forward Ferry to next day hoping I would be able to drive . Luckily I felt able to attempt journey home . We struggled with our cases and discovered a Lift that we had not been told about ! I reported to the female receptionist that we felt neglected and she had an entry on a large notepad recording me being unwell and to check on us . Despite this and also never appearing for breakfast or dinner we had paid for , no one contacted us . Very poor management .

Booked this hotel May stayed here years ago and wanted to take my parents back. It's a little dated but could not fault the breakfast or entertainment. Sally on reception is a credit to the hotel she was so friendly and helpful. Places are walkable about 10-15 mins to the beach and local bars. Would return

The building is a little tired but the room was comfortable and clean. Staff were at all times friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Parking can be a problem at busy times with only 3 disabled spaces.

Nice grounds and a lovely breakfast, the room was tidied and the coffee milk and sugar replaced. I had a lovely stay and the island has loads of attractions. Cheers

Loved the property. Disappointed on returning to room on 2nd day to find it had not been tidied, no clean mugs, no coffee sachets or milk sachets. Asked at reception to be told could have coffee but no milk. Receptionist stated in the middle of something on screen could find some milk in about half an hour and bring to room. When I called at reception there was a note to say back in 10 minutes so obviously wasn’t in the middle of something. It really spoilt our stay

Loved the old fashioned feel to the building, the grounds are lovely, its next to a small park area, which I found great for a little 4 mile run! Hotel is 5 mins walk from the seafront and a few minutes from nearest train station.

The location is good and staff are friendly. Room wasn’t ready on time and the bed was very uncomfortable. I asked for an extra blanket and slept on the floor

The room wasn't cleaned, we had to ask for fresh towels ,we had four guests for an evening meal, the four fish meals came with out any vegetables ,no apologies, we asked for some bread, they said no ,very disappointed in meal, which was expensive, no proper coffees for breakfast, could do a lot better.

Lovely stay with the dog in nice grounds. Friendly staff, decent size rooms, good breakfast.

Not great. Photos on web is not what you get Run down No staff to open resturant Rooms did not get cleaned. Though it states cleaners go in Terrecnce rooms. Well you can’t sit out as so dirty. Coffee tea milk never got replenish

Great base for sandown town walking distance.the hotel I agree it's a bit tired in places reception service was excellent.finding staff is in possible.the room was nice and clean We didn't have food as we thought for kids breakfast £13.95 was well over priced shame.would we return 50/50

A lovely building albeit a little dated inside. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Garden area very nice. Hotel was about a 10 minute walk to the seafront.
