Great location and room was excellent and very comfortable BUT no staff on site until 8.30am so struggled to get early check out Breakfast doesn’t start until 8.30 This was probably shown somewhere but I wasn’t aware

The Ferry Boat is a lovely place to stay (the rooms were spacious, spotless and marvellously comfortable) with a welcoming bar and restaurant - we thoroughly enjoyed our stop over and would highly recommend it

First time iv gone in a B&B without the need to disinfect and wipe furniture down! The room was excellent, just big enough had all you needed. And staff was happy to give me extra milk and tea ect ( we drink lors of it ) We didnt need to ask fir extra pillowsas pillows were lovely and plump, we had an accessible room, lovely big wet room, a slope up to the door. The breakfast options were extremly generous portions, as was lunch, and evening meals, toast and sandwiches are doorstep thick, i loved it! It was to much for my 91 year old mum lol but she made a good effort. We would go back again. Definitely recommend a break here, we didnt want to leave. 😊🙌.

Cleanliness very good. Good size room. Dog friendly. Staff friendly and efficient. Good size breakfast and plenty of choice. Good variety of evening meals available too. Quiet location with plenty of walks around.

Very nice place to stay. Just a short overnight stay, with alovely breakfast in the morning. Spacious bar and restaurant, with lovely outdoor seating area and garden. Room was modern, clean and comfortable. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

A lovely pub in a lovely setting. Room spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Meals all well cooked and tasty. Staff all really helpful and seem to love their job couldn’t do enough.

Lovely place. Really nice new accommodation. Great food. Its a bit out of the way but well worth eating and staying here. A good base camp for Southend and Chelmsford.

What a little gem. From the moment we booked in everyone was so kind and helpful. Our room was The Kestrel. The room was large, very clean, warm had a decent sized smart tv. A lovely bath room with under floor heating a double sized walk in shower, with toiletries and soft towels. We had our evening meal and breakfast there and both meals were delicious and hot. We can’t wait to go back

This was great stay, super food, outstanding accommodation, great showers, warm and cosy on a cold night. Just one little hiccup, no welcome,how are you? where have you come from, just here is your key, though we were shown to our room

Our stay at The Ferry Boat Inn was lovely. The food and accommodation were excellent and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend.

Great for a 1 night stop-over as convenient to explore East Essex with its quaint & pretty villages such as Battlesbridge, Burnham on Crouch. Also areas of interest like RHS Hyde Hall, Stow Maries Great war museum, Essex Wildlife Trust
