The welcome was warm, and the guidance offered was clearly understood. The room was clean, well presented, along with a spotless bathroom. The bed was okay, a tad lumpy but a good night's sleep was achieved. Drinks facilities were provided, shame the cups were so small. What's the problem with providing good mugs for a proper drink. I had dinner in the bar. Albeit there was a rather rowdy group in, it didn't dampen the overall experience. Timothy Taylors was a good pint, the curry was very tasty with plenty of chicken. Overall my visit was extremely positive and I would expect to return.

Lovely place to stay. Highly recommend. Food was excellent both in the evening and the breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. OH says the beer was great 😊

Excellent stay, room was clean and comfortable, staff very accommodating, breakfast was fantastic.

Room absolutely fine, overall service a bit basic and although good cooked breakfast options break fast itself somewhat basic

Friendly welcome, comfortable bed, nice dinner & breakfast. Cold room which didn’t bother me really BUT a really poor shower which is always a big disappointment, electric with lack of pressure and very inconsistent temperature … scalding or baltic!

Overall very good although the breakfast was a little disappointing. Our room was lovely and very comfortable and the overall decor of the lodge was excellent. The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful. We shall be visiting again.

Had some charm but clear the property could use some maintenance. The staff were pleasant

To arrive for early check in and the receptionist didn’t know we’d booked early check in despite ringing days before. Paid and still our room wasn’t ready in time. In the reception there was a Labrador lovely, but spitting up food all on the floor and wasn’t cleared up at all. Food wasn’t great, greasy cold breakfast. Not a place I would return to for the price.

Worn pub and very dated rooms, chinzy cheap decor. Room smelt damp. But comfy bed and clean bathroom.

Bed was small (as advertised) and most comfortable. Good food, great staff, fantastic value

very standard small room, with the smallest tv I have ever seen, basic food and poor Wi-Fi.

Unwelcoming front desk, depressing bedroom - my daughter had a single bed in a windowless room - quite unlike photos on the website, claustrophobic bathroom, unpleasant smell to the room's entrance. Hope to never go back.
