Staff excellent, room very small no chair or even room for bags. Wifi in room also poor. Bar food and service excellent and the welcome pack and light breakfast choice good. Clean but the building is ageing. The steps to the rooms really need to be illuminated or there will be a fall

We were here for one night as a stop over. OK for £85 a night we didn't expect a boutique hotel and yes this is an an old establishment but the first room offered had no window except the window in the separate bathroom. It was cramped, tired and extremely stuffy. The second room at least had a window in the bedroom but was even more stuffy, so the windows were opened to get some fresh air in. Unfortunately, there was an ventilation fan running outside and although this did go off around 10pm. A continental breakfast was offered but this was served in a rather grubby "lounge" area. The bread looked as if it had been there for a while as one of the loaves was mouldy. We didn't eat food offering in the hotel but went elsewhere. On the plus side the staff were friendly and helpful when we asked to changed rooms. I have tried to be as objective as possible but we were really glad that we were only staying one night.

It was an inn combined with a lively pub. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was as described, comfortable bed, good shower, etc.

Really nice well run pub with rooms. Eccleshall is a lovely little town in beautiful countryside. The buiding is very traditional so rooms are on the smaller side and our room got a bit stuffy. Everywhere is super clean snd the communal space for tea and coffee is really nice.

Great food, nice beer and great service. Really nice village location too

Nice place to stay at Stafford & around.

Lovely stay but made amazing by the Chefs. If you have the opportunity to visit be sure to have one of their specialty burgers - Salt & Pepper Chicken Burger or the Lamb Feta Burger. Both amazing and on my top 10 of best evers.

Very dated small room. Alot of noise from pub below. No spare toilet roll & tissue box, practically empty 😢. Mattress uncomfortable, you could feel springs. Help yourself b/fast was not expected! Cafitiere plungerwas in pieces, managed to put back together. Dirty, cleaned it. Milk curlded in coffee. Small portable fridge used for it. Odd set up with one sitting room type entry leading to all rooms. Thermostat for heating in there too, manually operated. Not my idea of comfort. Reviews state very good+. Do not agree with this. Pub is very old. Could do we with modernisation. Didn't sleep well at all. Took photos of issues.

Wonderful! Lovely staff, great food, good selection of beers and wines. Rooms small (as would be expected from an old inn) but clean and comfortable. Nice mix of locals and visitors. Definitely recommend. Thanks so much!

Lovely hotel, fab staff, excellent choices on the menu for dinner, breakfast was lovely and even got to meet the owners dogs in the morning ❤️ would stay here again.

The king arms is a lovely old pub the room was very comfortable and clean we had a good cooked breakfast the owners and the people work there was very nice Location was brilliant free car park We will go again

A very quaint pub/Hotel to stay. The bedrooms are separate to the pub area so no noise. Common lounge with settee and biscuits/tea/coffee/hot chocolate all available 24 hours. Excellent full English breakfast. Staff efficient and friendly.

Excellent in all respects. Huge breakfast, beautifully cooked, but too much for an old fella like me. Friendly staff and a pleasant, cosy bar.

Room & facilities fine but there was a problem with the heating on the first day. Rather steep stairs up to bedroom.

Bedroom was not good, no windows , nowhere to put clothes. Hairdryer suppied but no where near mirror to plug it in. Blind in bathroom broken, bathroom door would not shut. No heating. Coffee and tea making facilities where down end of corridor not in room. Overall absolutely crap.

Lovely people, perfect room, easy parking, lovely place.
