The staff were amazing nothing was to much trouble, we requested a quieter room due to it being a Saturday night and was put on the 2nd floor. The restaurant food was lovely, this is such a lovely place to stay in Shrewsbury very central would definitely stay here again in the summer

I stayed for two nights in the lovely Darwin room. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and cosy, with everything I needed (hair dryer, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee making facilities, fresh water, toiletries). Breakfast in the mornings was fantastic! Chosen from a menu and freshly made to order it was high quality and non greasy. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Loopy Shrew is in the heart of charming Shrewsbury and just a short ten minute walk from the station so easily accessed from there and very easy to find. The staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout. There were lots of leaflets and information on things to do and places to see during your stay. A great base from which to explore the town and surrounding area. I highly recommend.

Lovely clean great breakfast

Super little boutique hotel, this was our second stay and we hope to stay again. The hotel is in a great position close to the award winning market and the town. Lots of interesting eating and drinking venues close by and lovely walks along the Severn River. The food at the Loopy Shrew is excellent as is the service.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, staff excellent, room very clean. Great location and although no parking on site, there was cheap long stay parking nearby. Its an old building, so one must allow for that. As its a bar/restaurant the music was loud till midnight but that did not bother us. Cocktails were great and reasonably priced.

Last minute booking after a long day, and the staff was friendly and accommodating even as I arrived as the cafe/bar was exploding into action.

Lovely hotel,great location and really nice breakfast. Just be aware loud DJ until 12 Friday and Saturday,if you want an early night.

Great Value with breakfast included. Clean Room. Great, buzzing atmosphere on Saturday night. Nice spot for a weekender. Will return when next in Shrewsbury

Friendly service excellent night's sleep. No noise from the bar. Great room with outside sitting space. Shower powerful and hot. Breakfast great choices excellent fresh coffee and fresh orange juice. Would highly recommend and stay again 10/10. Thank you.

Had one night in a single on B&B basis while visiting family for a night out. Building is a pub in an old building with the upper rooms converted to accommodation. Although the room was small it was a masterpiece of how to use space and did. Not feel cramped in any way. The room was spotless and the bed comfortable. With the property being on a main thoroughfare and a very busy pub a nice touch was the provision of earplugs. Breakfast was served in a restaurant area at the back of the pub. Unlike most hotel breakfasts you choose from a menu and it’s cooked fresh for you and was top quality. Staff were lovely, but a note of caution for nervous types there are no staff on site overnight, but a telephone number is provided in case of emergency. There is no onsite parking, but a public car park is available across the road. I travelled by train and the station is 10 minutes walk.

Very Satisfied , food is fantastic, good portions and good choice ,hotel staff went the extra mile to make sure I totally enjoyed my stay, The Loopy Shrew is well situated in Shrewsbury Town ,for me I will continue to make my stay at The Loopy Shrew as and when I visit Shrewsbury and would reccomend it to any one who visits .

Great location. Inviting exterior. Friendly welcome. Compact but comfortable room with everything you could need, including a good fan, hairdryer and iron. Breakfast was delicious, cooked to order and served with a smile. Absolutely could not fault anything about our stay and would definitely recommend

Very well located specious friendly staff would return again good breakfast omly one thing on a negative side i was chaged £12 30 for a glass of wine that was with my 10% discount off a rip off

We would definitely stay at the Loopy Shrew again. Great value for money. Our room and bathroom were very clean, quiet and comfortable. We heard nothing from the pub below. The location is great, with very short walks to beautiful areas of town. There was a lovely array of breakfast choices included for free with the room charge; we had vegetarian eggs Benedict, coffee/tea & juice. Our main suggestion is to provide a standing fan on warmer evenings. Also, the comfy duvet was just too hot so a plain sheet would have been great.
