Warm welcome and clean room. Breakfast was excellent and we also had dinner which we all enjoyed. Ideal for exploring Lynton and Lynmouth and we will definitely return

This hotel is an excellent find. Great views from our hotel to the sea, excellent English breakfast (served to the table). Easy to get to all parts of the town. A good sized car park, and our room was dog friendly. We will stay again.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, the service was top notch, and the food was simply delicious. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we truly loved every moment. Highly recommended

A lovely property with stunning clifftop views. We had a spacious bedroom with an unbelievable view of Lynmouth and the sea. Breakfast was included and lots of choice.

Freshly refurbished hotel with fantastic views across Lynmouth. A unique opportunity to have breakfast next to the cliff railway. The couple running the hotel are genuinely a lovely couple striving to make your stay welcoming, comfortable, and homely. Keep up the great work.

The hospitality at this hotel was exceptional. The hosts were very attentive and genuinely welcoming. The property was clean and tidy. I greatly enjoyed my stay at The North Cliff Hotel and highly recommend this place.

This was a beautiful, small hotel with a great view and a great location. The staff were very friendly and had everything we needed.

The North Cliff Hotel was one of those charming old traditional Hotels, that as a Hotel had been in operation for 100years. The Managers were lovely and helpful. Our room was up 3 floors, but they assisted with bags. Our room was small, but had great views. Great English brekky included, and we did have a simple dinner there the before. Honesty tab for wine, beers, drinks and snacks in the dining room. Check in is not until 3.30pm, and dinner orders must be in by 4pm. The railway to Lynmouth is right next to the Hotel. Worth catching back up if you have walked down. Lyton town is also charming with lots of good pubs for drinks dinner etc.

The hotel is in a great position, less than five minutes walk from Lynton centre, has fantastic sea views and also looks down over Lynmouth. It is also right beside the funicular railway and even has its own entrance by the top. Our room wasn't the biggest but it was comfortable and being twin aspect had great views. There is an honesty bar and interesting public areas. There was even an EV charging point in the hotel car park. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Superb in every way. Warm and welcoming staff who couldn’t have been more helpful and kind. Cosy but spacious bedroom with very comfortable bed. Fantastic home cooked food and plenty of it! A roaring log fire and honesty bar for drinks and snacks. The views are spectacular and although in a quiet location, within easy reach of the shops.

Good Sea View

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the hotel is cozy and comfortable. Also the surroundings of the hotel are wonderful and there is lots to do. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night - the next time we will certainly stay longer!

Upgrade simply because they had a better view room available. Very friendly & understanding staff over food & did their best to meet requests. Lovely stay

We really love this area in Lynton. This hotel is about my favourite in the area. I think it’s fine. It hasn’t changed much(at all?) in last 5 years. It’s definitely being run a bit understaffed (limited coverage on front desk and hours for food service). If you are organised it’s not an issue but it’s noticeable. Id rate this as a 3.5 star level hotel in a marvellous location. As long as you are out and about a lot (we are) it doesn’t matter too much. On the one hand it feels a bit pricey but I keep going back so hey maybe it’s not!
