The staff were very helpful and friendly. Everything you need is within walking distance. The meals at the accommodation are excellent.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Old Vine. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us as we came in quite late. They helped us with parking and we found our room well stocked with everything you could possibly need on vacation! They even brought our breakfast at our room so we could, continue on our travels quickly. Our room was quite large and very comfortable!

This beautiful pub is located right on the cathedral green. Our room was enormous with its own sitting area. Breakfast was incredible.

We had an amazing stay, the Old Vine is a beautiful historic building in central Winchester. The room was comfortable and immaculate, the bed was comfortable and the bedding and pillows were great, thebathroom was large and very clean. We had breakfast in our room which was delicious and hot and plentiful. All the staff were great and very attentive.

Pros Excellent central location near cathedral and major attractions. Individually stylish, spacious rooms with quality amenities & quiet despite pub below. Friendly and helpful staff creating a welcoming atmosphere. Cons Parking is available, but not straightforward. Parking can be tricky—limited on-street zones; perhaps better to use nearby car parks.

One of the most spacious, comfortable, and well appointed rooms we have stayed at. While in an historic Inn, the room was large and pleasant. Literally steps from the Cathedral and most historic points of interest, food and shopping. The dinner was also of exceptional quality.

The Old Vine is a wonderful property. It blends historic charm with the best of modern comfort. The breakfast is served generously and quite delicious. We must mention Mitchell who does it all and made our stay even more special. Thanks! Last but not least, the location could not be better—directly across from the cathedral, and a stone’s throw from the charming old town. Hope to return soon.

Great location in the centre of Winchester, right next to the cathedral. Lovely, large bedroom. Lively pub, excellent breakfast. (Parking permits are available but we found it difficult to find a space and ended up in the public Tower car park.)

A fabulous place to stay, right in the centre of the city. The apartment exceeded our expectations and we'll definitely come back again.

This is an old building with 6 rooms and a pub/restaurant on the ground floor. The rooms are huge with updated bathrooms and antique furnishings. Loved the ambience. Although my husband uses a walker, he was able to manage the stairs to our room on the first floor. The staff were friendly and very accommodating and the food was delicious. Breakfast was included and we ate dinner there 2 nights out of 3. The Old Vine is right on the park of Winchester Cathedral and only a block from the High Street where there are lots of cafes, shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again. We stayed 3 nights before boarding the Queen Mary 2 and the staff arranged a taxi to pick us up at the hotel.

All one could ask for in an Inn. Really friendly staff, great location looking into the cathedral grounds, nice pint in the pub under your feet…. Parking a bit tricky but doable. Highly recommend.

Stayed here with my son. We had a huge, beautiful room. Hotel was fabulous.
