My family of three stayed in the Nidderdale EnSuite room. It was plenty big enough and the beds were very comfortable. Nice touches included tea and biscuits awaiting our arrival in our room. We did not partake in breakfast due to other plans with family, but I have no doubt it would have been lovely. Amanda had great communication prior to our stay. I would definitely recommend it.

Stayed in the Ryedale suite with breakfast. Very clean and comfortable room with private entrance. Full English breakfast was amazing with many other choices as well. Owner was very helpful and pleasant. Great walkable location to the train station into York. Wonderful time!

An excellent stay at The Poplars in Poppys lodge. Amanda was a great host and so easy to communicate with. The Poplars is in a lovely spot with countryside right on the doorstep. The lodge had everything we needed and beds were very comfy. Lovely and clean. Will definitely be back if in this part of Yorkshire again.

Nice B&B. I stayed in a room in the main house for one night on business. Very comfortable room and a delightful welcome from the host. Breakfast was excellent

From the moment we arrived til the time we left it was like being at home, great location, luxurious room, Quality breakfast and host. We stayed Two nights and it was excellent.

This property was perfect for our group. We were 6 adults and the cottage offered privacy and plenty of common areas. We were able to walk to dining and our competitions. Everything was clean and welcoming.

Such a lovely setting, a beautifully decorated, classic house, and a cosy room. Amanda hosted us and was more thoughtful and helpful than we could have ever asked for. Thank you so much!

Amanda was very warm and welcoming upon our arrival and throughout our stay. Marie was very welcoming and both accommodated our vegan dietary needs for breakfast and gave us oat milk for morning teas. The hospitality was superb and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. The Rydale room was spacious, warm, and superbly clean throughout - no sight of mould or limescale in the ensuite, which cannot be said of most chain hotels. Our vegan full English breakfast was lovely and the right portion to get us started for hikes in the Moors and the nearby quaint Thirsk town centre. We enjoyed our stay at The Poplars and would highly recommend to others.

Just outside of Thirsk in a nice quiet area. Local pub in walking distance with a Tesco and Aldi just 3 minutes drive. Thirsk itself has a choice of food styles but book early. The cottage had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable. Will defiantly stay again.

A very warm welcome from Amanda who was amazing throughout the stay.she explained where local highlights were and made us feel so welcome. The room was spacious and extremely comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The room was decorated beautifully and was spotless. Breakfasts were extremely nice using local ingredients where possible. Overall excellent value for money and supporting a local business by staying here which appeals to me. If in the area again will definitely stay here.
