Friendly staff great food and breakfast was good to rooms were very nice great to have a kettle and lots of tea coffee and biscuits. Tv need to be updated so you can watch nexfit

Over priced, dated, old.... the list goes on! Bar smelt of wee..... would not recomend

Good stay. Only negative had to make our mind ghe night before whether we wanted breakfadt the following day. Prefer to do thst tge following day not the night before.

Great little hotel, a little dated but i had a great sleep, nice tea, great ale, sports channal. I will definitely stay again.

Thank you for a lovely stay. Staff were friendly and attentive, and we had everything we needed during our visit. While it can be said that the rooms are a little dated, we felt this was reflected in the reasonable pricing. They were clean, quiet, and offered a lovely view of the green garden space, which made for a peaceful and pleasant environment. We enjoyed relaxing in the bar and soaking in the historic charm of the older part of the building. Being able to take our drinks outside to a quiet garden on a warm afternoon was an added bonus, as was the onsite parking. The only issue we experienced was with the external door key card - we couldn't get the timing right, even with tips from another guest. Fortunately, we we got in each time but this was more luck than skill. Although we didn’t have a chance to try the Indian restaurant due to prior dinner plans, however it looked like a delicious menu. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and would definitely stay again if we’re in the area.

Received an email the day of my arrival stating that the bar was open 12-11pm 7 days a week. On arrival told that the bar in fact closed at 10 pm and last orders were 9.45pm. I attended a football match on the evening arriving back at the premises at 9.55 where the member of staff on duty agreed to serve me one drink. I explained that their email said the bar was open until 11pm, he said you can stay her until 11 but last service is 10. At this point he switched off the lights. Without any doubt the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. They had wrapped a mattress, that must of been 30 years old, in blankets or similar. Dreadful place that really is not functioning as a place of accommodation. Does not see Experian in a good light either. Horrible experience.

Very friendly and welcoming service from the hotel staff. The indian food served at the restaurant is amazing! The room was large, quiet and comfortable. I would stay here again next time.

Staff really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was really nice and great local sausages. Beds nice and comfortable, rooms clean and tidy. All that you need for a few nights away

Food top quality as always and getting to watch the Prem football is a bonus.

The staff were very helpful we were put in the wrong room as I have a disability , but rectified immediately,we will definitely be using the Roebuck Inn when visiting family again.

Stayed there so I could attend my works Christmas party, room was a nice single room. Hotel was nice . Friendly staff, nice little bar. Would be happy to stay there again

Clean, comfortable room but the water in thr bathroom was not hot

Great restaurant (Nirvana) in the hotel, serving delicious Indian food, plus burgers a pizza if you don’t appreciate Indian. Staff bent over backwards to meet our needs ,holding breakfast an extra half hour because we were late). If I were to come back to Stevenage, I’d stay again!
