Had a really lovely chilling time. Nothing was to much trouble for Peter and Helen rooms very spacious and beautiful Would highly recommend to go to the Somerville

Extremely clean, warm, quiet and comfortable. Very good hosts and staff providing great friendly service. Everything you could need was provided and some lovely touches like cookies and sweets in the room. We would definitely stay again.

Vom persönlichen check in mit Infos über die Stadt und Umgebung über die liebevoll eingerichteten Zimmer und Räume des Hotels bis zum sensationellen englischen Frühstück, serviert von Peter mit seinem jungen Personal, war alles top und 1a👍

Had a great stay at the Somerville I can see why it gets such good reviews. Lovely place to stay and just a short walk down to the marina and restaurants. Great hosts really look after you can't give them enough praise. Will definitely be going back for another visit.

Fabulous stay from beginning to end. The best breakfast ever. From homemade granola, to piping hot full breakfast, choice of eggs, quality ingredients. In the room bottled water and tea/ coffee etc replenished every day. Helen's home made cake for you to help yourself to when you came back from a day out. Beautiful gardens, friendly, helpful hosts. Excellent location. I would highly recommend this guest house. We were given a suite with a comfy settee. T V in bedroom and lounge. Perfect.

I genuinely don’t think you could find a better bed and breakfast place to stay. Peter and Helen are such wonderful hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and the breakfast is absolutely fantastic. A real treat and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Woww is all i can i say about our stay. We had a fabulous night. Peter was just the best host ever. He has a wonderful caring nature and really delivered a wonderful experience. The hotel is gorgeous and probably the best comfortable room we have ever stayed in. To top it all off the breakfast was astounding with a huge selection of continental fare. My cooked English breakfast was beautiful as was my wife's eggs royale. I am so pleased we have found this gem of a place and plan to visit again and again. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful and memorable .

Peter & Helen were perfect hosts in their beautifully appointed boutique hotel. Quality rooms with a luxury finish. Stunning functional bathroom exceptionally clean and well thought out. Iron & board hairdryer sweets cookies tea & coffee provided. Also there were 2 TV’s & a fan! Perfect!

Peter and Helen are excellent hosts with nothing being to much trouble to enhance your stay. Breakfast is superb great quality food great choice, and a added bonus of the charming Paul there to serve it

Lovely stay for a theatre show

Stayed for three nights. Peter is a great host, meeting us on arrival to welcome us in. Two beautiful rooms / a bedroom and small lounge, with a recently refurbished and very stylist shower room. Tasteful decor with a large comfortable bed and good quality bed linen. All very clean. Beautifully prepared breakfast, with plenty of fresh fruit, cereals plus a good choice of cooked too. The Somerville is just a 10 minute walk down to the sea front. Torquay museum is a 5 minute walk. An excellent place to visit. The Hole in the Wall is a lovely old pub serving great food and only 7 minute walk down the hill. I can highly recommend a stay at the Somerville!
