Lovely place, very clean & the hosts are lovely. The room was a great size with a sea view. I was travelling with my dog & by train & it’s not far from the train station. Lidl’s is about 8 mins walk up the road. I would definitely stay here again if in the area again.

Double room with sea view. The bed was very comfortable. The furniture was flat pack type and mismatched, and not spotlessly clean. Please be aware when booking that it is sold with 'free breakfast' which is not the case. We were advised on check in to take breakfast at a nearby cafe at £12.50ph for a cooked english plus the price for tea or coffee so you need to factor this in to your budget. The proprietor did offer us porridge or a croissant "as a gesture of goodwill'", but we really needed a better start to the day as we were staying there to walk the SW coast path. When we checked out we asked whether she might consider a little discount to offset the cost of our breakfasts that we had to eat out and again "as a gesture of goodwill on this occasion" we were given £20 discount but told in no uncertain terms that "it didnt sit well with her". But she doesnt have to worry as we wouldnt hurry back there anyway. The dog is lovely though, very friendly. Parking is free piblic parking outside the accomodation and is first come first served.

Lovely place to stay. Clean, tidy and perfect location. Just wish we had been told they were no longer providing breakfast, as when we booked breakfast was included and that is why we pick certain places.

Ingen frukost trots utlovad vid bokning. Kallt på rummet. Värmen fungerade inte. Fick ett element som väsnades men kunde inte värma rummet. Personen som tog emot oss gav inget vidare intryck.

Quirky room that was clean but awkward to use. I couldn't stand up straight to shave! Sloping ceiling over bed. Expensive for one night without breakfast.

The Stanley was as described on the tin, albeit we had booked our stay to include breakfast, but the establishment had discontinued breakfast two weeks before our stay, I feel short changed because we believed that breakfast had been included within the package price originally described,

A nicely decorated room (4) with sea view handy for the Scillonian Ferry. Easy check-in and check-out with a nice cooked breakfast which we ordered the night before.

We had a wonderful stay with a beautiful room. The breakfasts were delicious and we were made so welcome. The Stanley is right across the road from the promenade/beach and convenient to town. Would stay here again!

We have stayed at the Stanley numerius timed. The owner is lovely and nothing too much trouble for her especially if you are staying over to catch an early boat or returning late from one. The rooms are pretty, comfortable and the breakfast delicious. Will be booking for next year.

Kate greeted us in a very friendly, professional & informative manner. She went above & beyond with the little touches. Hotel was lovely & comfortable with all amenities provided. Breakfast absolutely delicious & served by Kate who was the most amazing hostess. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Very nice place to stay.

Paid for a suite but just had a basic room with a double and single bed in the room so unable to work as I assumed a suite had a desk and sofa normally in a separate room or partition. If you’re on holiday this might be an ok place to stay but no good for working visit.

Great location near the water and a fifteen minute walk to town center, train and bus station. However, we were put in a a very small room that was not at all what was pictured from what was posted on Expedia website. Our room was in an attic (only window was an attic window ) and we had to climb several flights of narrow stairs to get up there. Anyone with a walking mobility or a lot of luggage would not be able to get up there. The beds were comfortable and there was enough hot water for hot showers. This lodging includes a full English breakfast in the dining room with a view of water which was nice. Staying here for one or two nights is fine as long as you plan to spend very little time in the room.
