Amazing quality with a budget price tag. Very friendly staff and locals, great food with smaller plate options. The rooms have the 'luxuries' that used to be standard (tissues, toiletries, drinks, biscuits)

Staff were great and very friendly , food was brilliant. Only downside was that we were in the Cow room which was directly above the Gents toilets which have the loudest hand driers in the world!! even at 0100 in the morning. They really are that loud , but a simple swap to paper towels would make everything wonderful.

Friendly knowledgeable staff, great food and good selection of well kept real ales. The bedroom was spacious, clean, warm and the bed was very comfortable.

Lovely overnight stay! Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Room was big enough for a single person or a couple. Breakfast was really tasty and filling! Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if needed!

Really pleasant pub, great beer, food was good. Room was pleasant, for us a bit noisy because of traffic, given window overlooked road and needing to be open due to warm weather. Breakfast was really excellent.

Great find, 2 rooms at short notice. Starting a biking tour of wales… what a start, great food, service. Friendly staff. Will we return… you bet!

Staff were very welcoming. Room was very clean. Had the full English breakfast and it filled me up completely. Locally sourced ingredients were absolutely delicious

From check in to check out, staff were really friendly. As a solo traveller I felt safe at all times. The pub itself seemed very friendly. The breakfast was lovely and the chef was very accomodating, cooking my order to my request. Would certainly stay again.

This was a little Gem staff were excellent friendly and very friendly on entering I was met by Dan the manager at the Bar who showed me to my room. I didn't have food as I was very tired after my long drive from Edinburgh on my way home to Carmarthenshire but if it is anything to go by breakfast I missed out as my meal in the morning was excellent I've stayed in a lot of big hotels in my time and they could take a leaf out of their book for a small tavern giving you so many choices It beats them hands down a great big thanks to Dan and his staff
