Could not fault how friendly welcoming our stay was. Beds were comfortable and nice warm shower. Breakfast was spot on. Bar was welcoming good selection and staff were great.

The pub is clean and handy to bus station and train station and Tesco. No dinner served, but good Chinese very close. Rooms are very small. It was hot when we stayed, a fan would have been good

Hébergement simple et de bonne qualité. La chambre est petite, mais tout à fait correcte, il y avait une petite armoire et une commode elle gagnerait un avoir qu'un seul de ces deux meubles. Nous n'avons pas été gêné par le partage des WC et du cabinet de toilette

This place is a little gem. The service is brilliant. The rooms are great and dont be put off by a shared bathroom. The one I used had the finest power shower I have ever seen. I will always use this hotel when I am in this area. Cant recommend highly enough. Tremendous value for money.

When booked it says take blanket&pillow case?no need bedding is included.. Shared bathroom clean&tidy. After 10.30 gets really loud with jukebox,on a main road..if you a light sleeper this is no good.but i enjoyed my stay it was for one night..breakfast was excellent! Cereals toast and a full English was excellent for my journey I would definitely stay again if was down that end..very impressive.

Clean room, adaquate for what we needed, shared bathroom, toilet, was clean and modern, staff fantastic and very friendly, Frosty the star was in an ace mood, Calling us by names i wont repeat, breakfast lovely, cereals provided and fry up, bar was lovely, location was fantastic for where we needed to go,

Overall experience was mixed. Upon arriving I was greeted by a friendly owner/manager who took me upto my room, passing the enormous fishtank (🤔) and gave me a quick layout of the place. Leaving me to it I was given the choice of when I wanted my breakfast the next morning which was good 👍 Unfortunately from there on in, the experience deteriorated... There was food and a bottle of coke (see photos) left from the previous occupant, no toiletries were provided for a shower, bed and floorboards were extremely creaky and when the room next door turned in bed it shook my own bed. I expected noise from the pub downstairs but didn't expect it to be exactly as loud as it was. Biscuits provided were out of date by the time I finished my 3 night trip and the best thing about the traditional breakfast was the toast and cereal beforehand. Accommodation providers were friendly and location was pretty good however shame the rest let it down.

The room smelled musty. The toilet and shower room are shared, which is inconvenient to the family. The bedroom is very old and no air dryer is provided in bedroom. However, the breakfast is delicious and included, the location is very convenient, and the staff are friendly.

This was our first time using this website. The hotel was basic, We were not asked about what we required for breakfast. My wife does not eat a cooked breakfast normally. The breakfast was good, nice bacon, eggs but the sausages were not the best. There was no soap either in the shower or. toilet. The toilet had a leak on the outflow which l repoorted.

Pleasurable stay

Staff helpful, tv didn’t work, the heating didn’t work, bacon delicious, wasn’t keen on eating next to the parrot, bit noisy till the pub closed at night, the marine tropical tank was amazing, the stair handrail could do with sanding and re-varnishing: it felt rough. The place looked pretty clean all round, though the decor was dark.

Excellent value for money. Lovely breakfast ceareal, toast plus sausage, bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomato and hash brown. Comfortable room.

A proper pub with a decent, clean bedroom and good bathroom down the hall. All at a great price. What’s not to like?
