The stay was lovely. Staff welcoming and friendly. Room comfortable and location ideal ..near buses and shopping.

Toilet flush didn’t work, kettle was filthy Would not recommend

Stairs very narrow and steep. Parking cheap £5 all day. Food top notch. Lovely little shops and cafes

It was clean and light ,big bed room everything you needed, beds could be a bit more comfortable staff friendly, parking very near to hotel

The hotel was good value for money

Fantastic service. Lovely lady greeted us and showed us to our room. Room was very clean. All we needed was in our room. Other people here were welcoming and pleasant.

My room had all the basic amenities that I needed, during the Covid19 crisis. Bed and en-suite bathroom. Unfortunately when I tried to have a coffee, there were black bits floating within it.i tried to wash it out but the lid would then not shore. Other than that everything was perfect. Jon was a very nice host and he was running the Covid-19 volunteer support group.

When I arrived I was told my room had already been checked into , they had given my double bed to someone else, without asking for their ID, and I had to go into a single bed room, even though I had paid for a double, and there was a double available. I had to ring Hotel.com to sort this out and eventually was given a double bed room.

My room had a really obvious lump of hair the cleaner forgot to take away from one bed. The basin in the room barely drained after I removed another lump of hair. The power plug crackled loudly and stopped working at the slightest touch. The door had no proper lock and was horribly insecure.

The room was dirty, plaster was falling off the walls and there were big cobwebs on the ceiling. The bathroom shower was covered in mold and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. The furniture was dusty. We did not end up staying overnight due to the poor condition of the room. Staff was otherwise friendly.

Never stayed in such a dirty hotel. Beds not made. Duvet cover was inside out. Carpet was filthy.

Although the hotel is a bit dated this is the style of the whole town and it was a bit like going back in time to my youth. More importantly the staff were very friendly and helpful which always makes for a nice stay.

Very nice people and excellent food..Just that they have no car park of there own..otherwise very good

Easy check in, very friendly staff. Room very spacious. Could of done with more power points. Highly recommend for a budget hotel.
