The stay was flawless. Excellent sized rooms for a couple and child. Loads of space and very clean. Had a meal there as well and it was delicious. Breakfast as also superb. Staff were inviting and friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Not a great stay - extremely noisy plumbing in adjoining rooms, but that is nothing compared to the high speed trains running just outside the rooms!

Lovey atmosphere, staff very friendly and helpful. We had an evening meal here and the food was excellent.

Room very small, bed against wall, orange floodlight shining into window all night. Not informed on booking that the pub is over the road from mainline railway and railway works which went on until 4.30am

Great all round for what i required

Food was best I’ve had in a long time, did not know train line was alongside so this makes my rating poor, water system in room made weird noise.

This was a good place to stay But next to main railway line so early wake up and noisy trains passed frequently although thankfully not throughout the night.

Clean room. Bar area and food were excellent

I stayed here for two nights recently for an event nearby at Blackpit Brewery. The hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet at night. Breakfast was good and I would stay here again.

Surprised vaping was allowed at the Bar in total disregard of the law. Breakfast was minimal, sausage (one) was undercooked and bacon (one rasher) more fat than meat. Half a mushroom, a tablespoon of beans and a greasy hash-brown completed the meal. The Buffet for the Wake was also very poor standard considering the cost of the accommodation. Overall very disappointed.

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast after a long journey.

Great family run pub and Inn. Excellent service and the food was very good. All cooked from scratch and even the ice cream and sorbet were home made.

Nice place ,clean tidy and friendly staff,if you don’t like trains ask for a bedroom at the back as less noise evening menu if you don’t want a pizza is limited

Tup quality food

Friendly place and lovely setting. A good location for us. Food was gorgeous and really reasonable. Lovely breakfast. Staff were really helpful and chatty. Great value for money! Only down side was there was no lift. Stairs a little steep - I travelled with my mum who is in her 80’s and she found the stairs a little hard.

Best breakfast we have ever had! Staff were really friendly too.
