I loved my stay at Babel, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming spot in Belleville. It downhill and just around the corner from an artisan Boulangerie that had ancient grains breads and world class pain a chocolat and pastries. If you wandered further up hill on the back streets there were so many little charming shops and coffee shops. I had some of my most whimsical and grounded days in Paris wandering these streets in Belleville. Babel is also steps away from a market on the weekends, rows and rows of fresh produce, protein, and seafood and the metro. What made Babel special was not only the location but the staff. I really enjoyed getting to interact with them, Mohamed, Siba, David, Stefano, Noah, Yumbi, Malka, were wonderful and all helped me in various ways-- whether it was making sure I hard warm cream for my coffee, or Siba helping me get checked in early, calling and Uber for me when I needed help, and holding my room for me while I dealt with a personal emergency-- they were personable and warm, and I very much appreciated them. Noah and Yumbi made delicious drinks and helped me when I lost my purse in the city. I was very, very blessed to stay here, and would give them a 10/10.

This is the perfect spot to get to know Belleville, with local artists and their ateliers just around the corner, a lively street life, and a variety of restaurants and people. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the restaurant served perhaps the best meal I had in the city, and the patio seating was a fun place to end my evenings. I also liked the little touches such as the locally made Bluetooth speaker in each room and the hotel's curated playlist, "Spirit of Babel." Lastly, the Metro is right nearby, making ventures into the rest of Paris very easy. I hope to stay here again, during my next trip!

I loved my stay at Babel, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming spot in Belleville. We loved our stay at Babel Belleville. Out of the tourist path but still easy to access the rest of the city (2 minutes to the nearest metro!) it is an ideal location for those who want a more authentic neighborhood experience. Our room was clean and beautifully decorated and we appreciated the gorgeous Babel toiletries. Our only complaint is that one morning a fire alarm went off - we rushed out of our room with a group of other panicked guests to the reception who didn’t even look up. We asked what was going on and whether we should be exiting and they said “I think it’s a test”. It was disappointing to not have been told this would be happening (if it was true) and to be treated with such nonchalance when we were still in our PJs and bare feet. Otherwise would definitely recommend.

Nicely styled boutique hotel. Excellent bakery around the corner. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance (Mostly asian). Only surprise was that there was no tv in the room. But didnt miss it because there was enough to do.

Nära metro och många restauranger i området. Rent och bra service. Dusch med genomskinlig dörr var mindre bra. Ingen TV på rummet. Om man hade rum mot gatan kunde man höra det livliga nattlivet utanför.

Le petit-déjeuner n'est pas la hauteur des 19 euros, très très peu de choix( ni croissant, pain au chocolat, oeufs..)sans parler du café qui est mis dans un percolateur. Lexpresso du bar n'est compris dans le prix, une honte.

This may have been our favorite hotel room in a long while, and certainly the best in our two week trip across France. The room was beautifully decorated and every little thing was thought of. Not much storage to be had in the room, but it was so great otherwise that we didn’t have even mind that. It’s a great location (2 minute walk to the metro and within walking distance of hundreds of restaurants and a great view of the Eiffel Tower). Staff was great. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but it smelled delicious.

Das Zimmer war sehr klein, aber vor allem sehr laut bis 1 Uhr nachts. Die Fenster müssen schlecht abgedichtet sein, so laut wie es war. Die Essensauswahl war arg begrenzt. Die Croissants waren Discounterquali. Etwas schockierend, dafür dass man in einem Hotel in der Hauptstadt Frankreichs ist. Das Dekor ist angenehm, MitarbeiterInnen freundlich.

Hayatımda kaldığım en kötü oteldi. Kesinlikle tavsiye etmiyorum. Resepsiyonda çalışan Stefona isimli çalışan, otel misafirlerine hiçbir şekilde yardımcı olmuyor ve kötü davranıyor. Birisi bu arkadaşa otelde çalıştığını ve insanlara yardımcı olması gerektiğini anlatmalı. Fazla film izlemiş gibi bir hali var. Kendini film yıldızı sanıyor. Kendisinden ütü istedik, ütüyü vermek istemedi. Oda servisi zaten yok, tabak ve servis istedik, bu da yok. Odalarda buzdolabı yok. Belirtilen kahve makinesi de yok. Odalar zaten çok küçük. Duş kapısı camdan ve hiçbir özel anın kalmıyor. Saçma sapan bir oteldi. Çalışanlar fevkalade ukala. Hiçbir şekilde tavsiye etmiyorum.
