Great hotel! Centrally located to local shops and cafes, also close to many different metro and bus lines for transportation! Hotel staff was extremely helpful and kind, rooms are a bit on the smaller size- but to be expected in Europe! But they were clean and comfortable and updated! Hotel has a lovely bar downstairs, visited by tourists and locals. Would definitely stay here again!

I was traveling solo and needed to stay close to the shopping area and gallery Lafayette. The hotel is not a fair price to value for me and would not consider it again. It runs also a dining place which gets very loud in the evening (apparently popular in the neighborhood so it’s very loud downstairs). One thing they do also on check in, is that they hold €150 on your credit card (as a deposit fee) which didn’t happen to me in other similar star rated hotels in Paris for the other nights I stayed, so be prepared for that.

I had a lovely check in at the Chou Chou hotel, I found the area (9th arr.) to be so lively and a great place to stay! The room was quite small, but the shower was amazing. There is a bar/club downstairs and played really loud until late at night. However, the room is adequately sound proof so it was fine. Although the hotel is quite small, and it seemed a tad run down, it was an excellent stay.

Staff were all very nice and conscientious. Hotel was quiet and attractively decorated. Best rain shower I've ever experienced and the Toto bidets/toilets were a nice amenity. Had some difficulty with fans that wouldn't stop (which a service person attended to and fixed within minutes) and odd locations for light switches. Main issue was long, dark hair on the bathroom floor and previous guest's leftover toothpaste in the sink. The bar and restaurant looked very popular and fun but I didn't have a chance to experience them myself.

We stayed for 5 nights for my husband’s 50th birthday. We wanted somewhere special, but not ‘stiff’. After careful research, we landed on Chouchou. There’s lots to like. Beds comfortable, front desk staff helpful & great central location. But we were disappointed overall. We just didn’t feel it had the special touches to merit 4*. Our water bottle in the room was not refilled or cleared once empty (same with the empty box of complimentary macarons). We had to ask for water refills. We requested an ironing board & it was just left in our room for the rest of our trip despite us asking for it to be removed (it’s a big board in a compact room!). Mainly our issue was with the ‘bar’ which had appealed to us when we were researching hotels. We thought it looked like a fun place to return for a night cap rather than trying to find somewhere in a city so large. Wrong. With the exception of our 1st night (Tuesday) the bar turned into something closer to a sweaty night club or raucous wedding party. Bodies packed in, people dancing on tables & screaming at the top of their lungs. Twice we tried to enter to go to the bar but it was impossible so we took drinks to our room where there was only one chair! The themed disco nights are not designed with hotel guest experience in mind. We felt isolated from this amenity & looked elsewhere. Our room location meant we didn’t hear noise but imagine other rooms do (see other reviews). We were also not offered upgrade or use of the baths.
