Very nice and charming hotel close to the rail station and city of Montpellier

Very nice and friendly staff and good location. Beware of booking a single room on the top floor if you have a heavy suitcase,,,,,,, stairs up and down,,,

Terrible experiencia. Habitaciones mal aseadas y con malos olores. Aire acondicionado no funcionaba. Refrigerador tampoco. Hotel en pésimas condiciones. Tuve que irme de lo malo que estaba. Pese a que no funcionaban los aires y estaba desaseado y con mal olor, no nos devolvieron el dinero. No debería estar en Hoteles.com Es la primera vez que me va mal en un hotel.

Très satisfaite de mon sejour. Déjà dès ma réservation, l'hôtel m'a gentiment remercié de ma réservation. Ensuite, ils m'ont envoyé des conseils pour me garer dans le cadre des travaux dans le centre. Enfin j'ai ensuite demandé s'il était possible de mettre un mot sur l'oreiller pour l'anniversaire de mon mari et nous avions eu jolie carte avec un mot très sympathique. Accueil super, une gentille jeune fille souriante nous a accueilli et l'accès à la chambre possible avant l'heure prévue. L'hôtel est proche de tout, à quelques minutes à pied de la place de la comédie, des restaurants, de la gare. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir

We found this an excellent hotel, full of character and in a perfect, central position. The room was large, and all staff are helpful. We especially appreciated the fridge in the room.

Room was big, breakfast was a perfect size, just a little noisy on a Friday night, not that bad

Bien situé si vous souhaitez visiter à pied ou en transport, le personnel est agréable et l’hôtel a un réel charme. Le rapport qualité prix est indiscutable, oui l’hôtel fait un peu vieux mais rien de réellement dérangeant. Seul bémol étant les horaires du personnel de ménage, qui rentre dans la chambre sans prévenir…

Location was good, close to train, shops and dining. I had the room on the top floor and the roof was angled and low in half the room so i couldn't stand up straight

Close to every attraction!5 minutes to train station and 5 minutes to main square and 1 minutes to main market !!

The Hotel des Arts offers excellent value for money in a very affordable, no-frills package. The hotel is in a rather beautiful old building in the heart of Montpellier, close to the station, the Comedie area and dozens of narrow streets containing many bars, shops, restaurants and cafes. The youthful staff are friendly, helpful to a fault, knowledgeable and speak excellent English. Our room was clean, though small and basic, with no tea and coffee making facilities.. However, when we asked the receptionist, she went out back and found us a kettle and a couple of cups. What a lifesaver! The basic continental breakfast (€10.50 extra) was good and tasty, with plenty of fresh fruit and hot coffee. The only things we didn’t like were the bed, which was so hard as to be rather uncomfortable, and the lift, which is tiny and extremely claustrophobic. Overall, though, for the money, l would recommend the Hotel des Arts to any traveller on a budget, especially if arriving by rail, since it is an easy 5-6 minute walk from Montpellier St Roch station.

Très bon rapport qualité/prix, bonne localisation en plein centre ville, proximité avec la gare SNCF pour celles et ceux venant en train.
