Good location, good service. But, small room size, and too many noise of next room's door and upstairs floor when someone walking.

Lovely little hotel in a convenient location for Lyon centre. Staff were welcoming and very helpful.

Kleines feines Stadthotel, mit freundlichem Personal und gutem Frühstück. Zentral in Lyon gelegen. Leider sind die Betten für 2 Personen sehr schmal, allerdings komfortabel. Check-In und Check-Out liegt nur 2 Stunden auseinander. Hervorragend. Der Zimmerservice müsste aufmerksamer sein. Leider war bei uns fast alles im fertigen Zimmer alle. Haarwäsche, Toilettenpapier, Taschentücher. Zimmerreinigung erfolgte auch erst auf Aufforderung.

Terrific boutique hotel in a superior location, very walkable, nice, courteous staff. Very clean, nice room with a comfy bed, good pillows and blackout curtains so I could get a good sleep. My room had a great view of the street and square outside. I’d happily return.

Alors que nous devions aller sur la place bellecour avant de revenir j’ai laissé une gourde Stanley sur ma table de chevet. Comme nous avions déjà chargé nos valises auparavant le personnel a dû penser que nous étions plus là : ils ont donc pris cet effet personnel et nous ont indiqué n’avoir rien trouvé : sympa de se faire voler ses affaires et très professionnel !

The staff at Hotel Alexandra was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in a wonderful area on the Rue Victor Hugo pedestrian street, which is within walking distance to most sites of interest. The breakfast by Arus is excellent! Overall, a delightful stay in a lovely city.

The hotel is very neat and stylish with a lovely courtyard. The concierge even showed me to my room, which is small but comfortable and cozy. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to Lyon’s Perrache train station. There are several good restaurants nearby, as this is the culinary capital. I enjoyed the traditional Lyonnaise bouchon Le Poelon D’Or. Be sure to reserve ahead.

Hotel Alexandra has a lot going for it: the location is excellent, and the staff were consistently kind, helpful, and went out of their way to assist me. Rooms facing the square offer beautiful views, though there’s some noise until around 11:30pm. Courtyard-facing rooms are very quiet. That said, the style of the hotel includes carpet in some rooms, padded headboards, and velvet drapes. While everything was kept very clean, the materials and limited airflow made it difficult for me as someone with asthma and dust sensitivity. I tried leaving the windows open, but without screens, I ended up getting bitten by mosquitoes at night, which ultimately forced me to find another hotel. If you don’t have allergies or respiratory issues, this could be a very charming place to stay. But for travelers with sensitivities, it may not be the best fit—despite the staff’s truly excellent efforts.

Quiet but very close to the centre of Lyon, all staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was limited but very tasty. I certainly would stay again if I was in Lyon.

Sur une zone piétonne, une position idéale pour découvrir à pied le cœur de Lyon. La chambre donnait sur une terrasse à l’étage. Accueil sympathique et rapide. Le petit déjeuner avec des produits maison pour bien débuter la journée. À proximité immédiate du métro pour des escapades plus lointaines dans Lyon. Chambre confortable. Bref… une hotel parfait pour une séjour d’exploration de Lyon… Nous y reviendrons pour poursuivre la découverte de cette belle ville…

Brilliant stay

Great location and friendly service. We had a room which you accessed via the patio/terrace. Which was quite nice, the downside being there wasn’t a window to let in any natural light - we were out most of the time so it was ok for us; but I can imagine for others it would be unacceptable and it was not mentioned in the room description.
