Beautiful hotel idealy situated for the ancient town of Amboise. We had the quadruple room which , with two teenage boys, meant that we had one room that was conveniently separated into two. Really clean, comfortable beds and very pleasant staff. Breakfast was expensive with only under 12s getting a discount and even then not much. Lots of cafes and boulangeries where we got breakfast and lunch for less than the breakfast. Also a little disappointing that the bar was closed but again, by being so close to the town centre it wasn't much of an inconvenience. Would definitely stay again.

My stay as a solo traveler here was so great! The location is perfect, next to a castle overlooking the Loire River! It's right next to a pedestrian area of restaurants and shopping and it's very safe. I walked to and from the train station, about 15-20 minutes, met a tour group nearby at the tourism office, all easily accessible. The hotel staff are excellent, so helpful and nice. The room was comfortable and clean with a view! The breakfast was exceptional, various locally sourced items, very delicious. Hope to return one day, merci!

This was the perfect hotel for our family of four! We booked the quadruple room which had two individual bedrooms and two full bathrooms. It came with a mini fridge and armoire and desk in one of the bedrooms. The other bedroom had a bathroom attached. Each room had its own individual air-conditioning units. The hotel was perfectly located next to the river and just steps from all the action in the city. Restaurants, shops, and château’s were easily accessible. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the hotel one morning. It was delicious! Highly recommended!

Bra läge i Amboise, men svårt att nå med bil för att lasta av och på. Frukosten var inte riktigt värd det extra tillägget. Enkel och väldigt ”basic”. Välj frukost på stan istället. Hissen var trasig, vilket var jobbigt då vi hade en hel del bagage. Ändå överlag ok för en vistelse i Amboise.

We loved it here and we will definitely be back the next time we decide to visit the Loire valley Conveniently located, right at the city center which made walking the city center really easy. Great restaurants all around and some small markets were close by too which made the trip really hassle free for us The royal chateaux was right outside our room window so the view was great at night when the castle was lit up

Lovely place in great location close to main area of town and chateau. Spacious room for Europe. Importantly had great AC in our room. Free Parking on street in front of hotel was available most of the time.

This hotel provides an excellent experience when visiting Amboise and the surrounding area. When you first arrive and take your parking spot on the street, you might not realize how incredibly convenient the location is! Just out the back entrance of the hotel you are in the old town and right next to the grand chateau! It’s an easy stroll to another beautiful Château Gaillard, which was the site of France’s first orangerie and has an exceptional renovation- worth seeing! Also you have Da Vinci’s house where he spent his final years with all Of his inventions an easy stroll from The hotel passing all the restaurants and shops along the way. Close to Chenonceau and other Loire stops. The hotel itself offered laundry service for a fee which was a welcome amenity. Our room (22) was excellent offering not only an air conditioned sunroom attached, but also a full balcony facing the river. A beautiful view at night and all during the day- turn around from the balcony and the chateau is right there. The hotel even provided robes and slippers which was surprising and welcome. Staff was pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our 3 nights here as a nice respite in a weeks long adventure.

We like the proximity of this hotel to the main square and the Royal Chateau. The room and bathroom we had was very spacious. The AC worked really well, but the lift/elevator was not working. Also the carpet in the stairs and hallways are so old/dated. The staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke English well. Breakfast includes a variety of choices.

The hotel’s location is excellent, just steps from the center of town, and the price was very reasonable. The family room worked especially well for our group of four friends, offering plenty of space and the convenience of two full bathrooms. The main drawbacks are that the property feels quite dated and could benefit from renovations. The carpet was worn and had an unpleasant odor, and our biggest issue was a strong musty smell throughout the property. Room 24 also had a noticeable sewage odor, as if the toilet’s wax ring needed replacement, which significantly impacted our stay. The entry to that room has a dangerous drop off, and we nearly fell many times. That said, the combination of location, value, and room layout still makes this property worth considering if those are your main priorities.

This hotel was such a nice treat during our stay in France. We had double rooms for the family room, the hotel was clean and air conditioned, and the breakfast was lovely. They also offered laundry service. The hotel is also in an excellent location!

Staff at check in was incredibly nice and attentive. Room was shown and explanation of access both during daytime hours and after hours (there is a back door to the old town that makes it a snap) was given. Room was cozy, not large, but bathroom was great and amenities were good. Air conditioning worked splendidly. Centrally located right across the street from the Loire River. Our room (#7) had a balcony (shared) with a deck table and chairs. Rooms have a small fridge with “minibar” items. Guests are provided a free bottle of locally sourced spring water. It’s a charming boutique hotel and we would definitely stay here again if need arose!
