The property is outstanding retaining historical elements and yet with many modern conveniences especially in the outfitting of the guest rooms.
The host hospitality is warm, professional and friendly even though this was my first visit I was greeted as if it was one of many return visitations. I wrote an email just prior to my visit requesting a dinner reservation and it was responded to within the hour.
Dinner was excellent. The cleanliness and attention to small details is apparent throughout the hotel.
Definitely a wonderful get away for the weekend for me personally.
I organized a night here for my Sister and her Husband when they flew in from Australia. It was a 50th Birthday present for them, and it was ideal. The Chateau itself is gorgeous, and amazingly kept. Original staircases go bump in the night, and there are the creaks and cracks that anyone would expect with buildings of this antiquity, so that was fine. I have lived in Europe for 22 years, and I was flabbergasted by the beauty of the place, but my Sister and cuñado were blown away. It was really impressive, and great to see it had the effect desired for a 50th Birthday present. I figured that that would be the thrill of the day, but then we went to the restaurant for the evening meal. We were impacted immediately at the service of the staff, especially the lady who owns the house (sorry, the name eludes me). She was brilliant. We laughed all night, ad she easily adapted tot he requirements of each table. The food was incredible, the wine was on the expensive side (but excellent) and I suppose fit well in the general ambiance. I cannot wait to get back to this Hotel and share this experience with my wife, and other visitors from around the world. It is one of France's hidden gems!
