We arrived 19:30 and the door was closed. A note said to use the pin code we should have received by email, which we never did. I kept knocking and after some time a housekeeper living next door came out gave me a key and allowed us to enter. Parking was a nightmare. You have to park in a parking house 10-15 mins away. They have 8 rooms and ours was like stepping into the historic past, but not in a good way. The carpet was very stained so I kept my socks on. Everything is ooooold and run down. The hotel needs some love and renovation but dogs are allowed and it was fairly priced. Breakfast could fit 6 people at the time and was simple but fresh. All were seated around same table and people were chatting, the room is tiny. I would not stay here again but it was quite an experience.

I travel extensively and Very seldom have I ever left a bad review. This Hotel is really a boarding house with the name Hotel attached. I will be attaching photos. It's dirty and much mold in the shower. The carpet is almost non existent and worn down similar to felt and was like walking on concrete. We kept our socks on all the time because of the scrunchy carpet. The room was cold and finally I was able to explain we needed a heater. The toilet often took a couple flushes to work. Not sure what that was about. There is No common area to use to chat with friends or other guests. Just a tiny landing as you came into the door that was often filled with dirty laundry bags. We had a friend there also but we had to meet in our room. The dining area was so small and the house keeper kept coming through with laundry holding bags over our heads. We attempted to find other lodging immediately after seeing the hotel and our room but we were in Caeñ for 5 nights with a friend but no place was available for that long of a stay. Warning: I would not bring my children here. I don't know who the owner is but an inspection is needed.

Niedliche kleine Stadtunterkunft, tolles altes Haus. Aber! Das Zimmer ist klein, was ok ist aber das Badezimmer ist viel zu klein. Dusche und Toilette total beengt. Personal teils sehr freundlich. Eine Mitarbeiterin war etwas genervt. Sorry aber ich kann nichts dafür, wenn etwas im Haus nicht funktioniert. Was überhaupt nicht geht, ist, wenn die Toilettenspülung nicht richtig funktioniert. Morgens lief plötzlich kein Wasser mehr. Es kam eine Frau und drehte an einem Hahn. Ich solle warten. Wahrscheinlich lief das Wasser nur sehr langsam in den Spülkasten und reicht für 1-2 Spülgänge. Danach scheint es leer zu sein. Ich habe es mehrfach angesprochen. Sie wollen sich kümmern. Leider ist nichts passiert. Das ist unangenehm und sollte auch bei 1 * funktionieren! Ich öffnete beide Fenster, eins ließ sich nicht mehr schließen. Das war der Dame dann wohl zu viel. Es ist sehr sehr hellhörig und das Zimmer (1. Etage) heizte sich sehr auf. Nachts schlafen nur bei geöffnetem Fenster und mit Ohropax! Positiv war, dass ich einen Kaffee bekam. Frühstücken wollte ich nicht. Das war mir zu eng.

Nous avons effectué 2 heures de route,nous avions payé etc avions la confirmation avec code de la réservation pour au final arriver sur place et que notre chambre sois louer a d’autres mais où et donc le professionnalisme je déconseille fortement

Bien situé, hôtel d'une étoile qui en vaut 2 ou 3. Chambre bien équipée, calme, hôtel plein de charme.

L'hôtel est très bien placé par rapport au centre ville de Caen, un peu en retrait mais proche. L'État de la chambre est propre, rien à dire et l'accueil a été agréable.

Great location, super cute hotel. Rooms are a little small, but that was expected. Loved our stay here!

nice space in a good part of town , but there are you g people living or staying up stairs that like to party so be warned

This was a lovely quaint hotel, nice room filled with character, no lift, ultra convenient location

wasn't aware I'd booked breakfast and was charged for it even though I didn't have any on the first morning . also there's road works being carried out around the hotel which isn't there fault but the temporary road covers make a load noise though the night
