property was great, beautiful stretch of lake. good breakfast..front desk staff was less than helpful, a few were downright rude… made you feel bad about asking for things, like you were bothering them. However, outdoor bar staff was wonderful!

Absolutely stunning location right on Lake Annecy. Took about 25-30 minutes to drive to Annecy itself. Rooms relatively simple but very comfortable beds and perfectly well appointed. Staff all very friendly. Only disappointment is that bar food options were limited to cheese/charcuterie boards - this left us with limited options with one pregnant person and one small child. It would have been very helpful to have a couple more options for food so that we could have eaten in the hotel with our young daughter without needing to book the gastronomique restaurant at €80pp - the menu at the time of our stay didn’t really take our fancy, although I’m sure it would have been delicious. I expect this situation is improved in the high season when the bistronomique restaurant opens. In the end we walked into town and ate at Cafe de Place, which was a lovely authentic restaurant.

The Abbaye is a great venue with amazing views of the lake and is so peaceful. We had a fabulous room with views of the lake and mountains, long balcony, comfortable bed everythingyou need in the room. The staff were great helpful and approachable. The Spa facilities are good we had it to ourselves as this is out of season. We had a lovely 4 day stay.
