The staff were great, no fault to them at all… but the hotel and area surrounding were extremely drab. There is absolutely no vibe or energy at this hotel, the room has no decor, the shower was falling apart. Breakfast was gross. The neighborhood is pretty much the opposite of what you think Crete would be like… pretty much everything about the place was tired and sad. We regrettably booked 19 nights and spent about 14 of them at other hotels in way better areas.

Great staff, quick cheque in

Rooms were clean and a good size. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A small convenience store on site. The free breakfast buffet was good. Right on the beach and a one block walk to the main road with shops and restaurants. Free lounges and umbrellas on the beach. We walk along the beach, to the right, where the yellow and green umbrellas were and snorkelled in front. Saw lots of fish as soon as we entered the water. Saw fish up to 18" long and my buddy saw a Jack Tuna! We enjoyed rhe resort so much, we cancelled our last night on Crete at another resort and booked it here for next week!

Well located and well priced

Excellent location, nice building. Good breakfast, comfortable feel. Nice clean pools. Rooms are perhaps a litte tired and would benefit from updating. Daily room housekeeping was a little hit and miss. Overall a great hotel for what we paid and would recommend.

Room was old and dated! Furniture looked worn, twin beds were positioned awkwardly where I had to move them myself, never had anyone come check the pool water to make sure it met standards so I did not have my children swim in standing water where no one came to check the levels. Main bedroom bed was two twin beds pushed together and they were hard and uncomfortable. Tv had bad reception. Breakfast was MEH! Overall not worth the money or the title of VIP. Would not stay again.

Nice central location, easy access to the beach. Beds were comfortable and lots of options for breakfast.

Caldera Bay is very nice and very well placed for surrounding attractions, you can get into Chania and Agia Marina easily as well as boat trips to nearby beaches. Plantinias itself is really lively and has lots of options for earing and drinking. It's really nice to be located on the beach too, we found the pools to be too small for the amount of guests and so went to the beach every day. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant offers good well priced food all day. Our only reason for marking down Caldera Bay on cleanliness is because we had ants in the room, coming in under the front door. We complained twice but nothing was done about it. Other than that everything ejse was very good.

Flott hotell med fantastisk god frukost. God beliggenhet, kort veg til strand med parasoller og solsenger. Einaste minis, litt harde senger.

Nice location nice premises clean pool and rooms very close to every restaurant and attractions

en fantastisk upplevelse och grym service och all personal kan kommunicera på engelska så det är lätt att göra sig förstådd, fint hotell där man har nära till stranden med solsängar men man måste gå upp vid 07:00 och åka frukost och vara färdig för stranden till 08:00 om man ska ha chans att få tag i en solsäng.

Bra hotel med god beliggenhet rett på stranden. Vi ble oppgradert til en leilighet med sjøutsikt. Møblene er litt gammeldags og badene kunne trengt en oppgradering, men alt var rent og pent. Frokosten var god, men appelsinjuicen var kun farget vann. Det var overalt skilt om at reservering av solsenger ikke var tillatt før kl. 10:00. Det var det ingen på stranden som tok hensyn til. Skulle ønsket at hotellet gjorde alvor av at de fjernet håndklær og eiendeler fra reserverte solsenger. Kan anbefale dette hotellet.

Great property with spacious and comfortable rooms. The hotel is right on the beach but also has it's own pool and restaurant. The breakfast buffet was amazing!
