Awesome place to stay in the perfect area of town. Pictures don’t do it justice.

Överlag bra hotell med ganska lugnt läge en kort bit från huvudgatan. Mer av ett familjehotell med mycket barn och därmed konstant ljud. Åk inte hit om du vill ha lugn och ro. Det är ganska lyhört och poolområdet är underdimensionerat. Här jobbar dock fantastisk personal som erbjuder god service och är mycket hjälpsamma!

Great hotel with lovely staff and good food

This hotel is in a prime location with few mins walk to the city centre. Very lively location and the shops around are open till 1:00 am. Staff in the hotel is really nice and helpful. The bartender by the pool is very informative and will suggest good places to see around. Must visit restaurants Peppermint (15 mins walk) and Agnadi (cab ride from the hotel) if you are a foodie. Must do the boat tour around the island.

Normal rooms are clean, little old, but good enough to not being disturbing. Friendly staff, very good pool and childrens pool with enough sun beds and shade. Ok midday snacks at the pool side, reasanable cockails at good price 4€. Breakfast is extensive but gets boring since it is the same every other day. Overall a very good hotel but a big minus is the Wifi that is almost always unavailable in the room and around the pool and very unstable in the lobby and even then at low speed. This is not up to standard 2015 and is the main reason I just can not give more that 3/5, Wifi is nowadays a core basic need!

Siamo stati dal 19 luglio al 31 luglio 2015 ad Argassi presso l’Hotel Contessa (in 5 persone/2 stanze). La struttura era molto bella con una stupenda vista mare (terrazza ristorante). Peccato la colazione che non era un granché (p.es. non vi era varietà di frutta fresca, mancavano i cornetti! e il personale potrebbe essere un po’ più cordiale…). La piscina era bellissima e il bar di quest’ultima era ben servito da un personale simpaticissimo. Le stanze erano ampie e pulite, unica pecca è che ti consegnano solo una chiave (al momento che esci dalla stanza, il climatizzatore si spegne…). Ci complimentiamo con il personale della reception per la sua disponibilità.

Bodde her 3 netter når vi var på øyhopping i Hellas. Først og fremst vil jeg ikke anbefale området Argassi til noen som ønsker å oppleve autentisk gresk kultur, her snakker vi bademadrasser og neonlys overalt. Hotellet var midt på treet akkurat som vi hadde forventet ettersom det er rimelig og har lite stjerner, men noen ting forventer man. Blant annet var det ikke wifi på rommene, man kunne ha litt signaler om man var heldig, men i tillegg hadde man ikke mobildata heller, altså rommene sperret for datasignaler. Kjøleskapet var også en vits. Det fungerte ikke om du ikke var på rommet, og du får kun utdelt et nøkkelkort som gjør at det aldri er kaldt om du er mye vekk fra rommet. Dette kjøleskapet betaler man i tillegg for. Sist men ikke minst er de som jobber der totalt uvitende og kan ikke tipse om noe annet enn hva som er i umiddelbar nærhet og som står på alle reiseguider på nettet. Tips: ikke dra til Zakynthos over lengre tid og hvert fall ikke om du ønsker noen gode restaurantopplevelser!!

We only stayed here one night and then changed hotels. All of the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Pool bar prices were reasonable! Unfortunately the beds were quite uncomfortable, hair dryer in the room was really weak and the breakfast didnt seem very fresh, like it had been sat there for quite some time! For a short stay, on a budget. The contessa is okay!

Belle découverte de l'île de Zakynthos avec une météo excellente

The outside area of the hotel is very attractive, with a nice pool area and landscaped gardens. A reasonable selection of snacks and drinks were available from the pool bar which had very pleasant and obliging staff. Rooms, especially those overlooking the pool were more than adequate and of a reasonable size and standard. The breakfast which was included with room charge, was reasonable. The buffet dinner at 10 euros was good value. The hotel bar was disappointing, in that it was very poorly lit and not staffed. Drinks had to be ordered via reception or the pool bar. Overall, for the amount paid, it was good value for money.

We had a wonderful week in this hotel in mid May! The hotel is situated close to all facilities - supermarkets, restaurants, bars etc., and only a short walk from the beach. It is family run, the staff were very helpful and obliging. Our room was large and comfortable with a balcony - even had a sea view but I think not all rooms do. Dinners in the restaurant were not overpriced and were plentiful and varied. We might even return - this is a high recommendation! The only downside was that so many things were charged as extras - key safe, fridge, air conditioning, mattresses for the sun loungers by the pool (very uncomfortable without!).
