The architecture of the hotel Platanista is gorgeous. I loved everything about this hotel. Beautiful property. Great swimming pools and a nice close by private beach. Superb hotel ! Highly recommended !

Schöne Hotelanlage, große helle, gut isolierte Zimmer mit Balkon/Terrasse und immer frisch gemachten bequemen Betten (mit deutschem TV, leiser Klimaanlage und ebenerdiger Dusche), im Juli/August mit Animationsprogramm, reichhaltigem Buffet und eigenem Strandabschnitt in 2 Min. Laufnähe (kostenlose Liegen und Sonnenschirme), 2 große Pools und Poolbar.
Die Frühstückszeit für Urlauber ist grenzwertig (7:30 bis 10:30 und man findet früh kaum einen Tisch, 6:30 bis 12:00 wäre besser), die Getränke (Flasche Wein 25 EUR, Cocktails 11 EUR) komplett überteuert. Der Pool ist nur von 10 bis 18 Uhr geöffnet, in Ruhe schwimmen Fehlanzeige. Die Hinweise (keine Liegen besetzen, Abendgarderobe) werden von den meisten Gästen ignoriert und vom Hotelpersonal nicht geahndet. Das Restaurant-Servicepersonal ist (bis auf wenige Ausnahmen) langsam bis unfreundlich - Tische bleiben ewig unabgeräumt, es fehlt Besteck, Getränke dauern ewig (extra, nicht im Preis enthalten). Es gibt zwar einen Kühlschrank aber keine Minibar, der kleine Kiosk im Hotel verkauft keine Getränke.
Der Pool ist immer voll, der Strand liegt nicht direkt am Hotel (über eine Straße) und ist steinig (Einstiegshilfe über Sandsäcke). Der vorhandene Minigolf-, Tennis- und Volleyballplatz hat keinen Sonnenschutz und ist im Hochsommer eigentlich nicht bespielbar. Kos Stadt ist in ca 30 Min zu Fuß (10 Min Fahrrad) erreichbar, der lokale Bus ist unzuverlässig und Taxis im Sommer kaum verfügbar.

Hotel Platanista exceeded our expectations (Like it did 21 years ago when we were here the first time) .
The hotel itself is stunning and very well maintained. Our rooms very very spacious and clean and offered everything we needed.
All staff members are accomodating and paid attention to our needs. Especially Julia and Ria were very lovely
The Center of Kos can be reached by a 30 minute walk or by Bike or Bus and offers some nice Sightseeing opportunities.
All in all a wonderful vacation in an awesome Hotel

A compliment to the people at the front desk and at the bar, they were really friendly and helpful. the hotel all in all was not so bad but not up to 4.5 stars standard. The prize of the hotel are very high. They need to do some improvement. Like at the breakfast buffet and dinner buffet. The food quality was quite poor. the pool and the beach were a pretty nice.

Purtroppo il sevizio non è stato all altezza delle aspettative di un 4 stelle anzi 4 stelle e mezzo come scritto all ingresso dell hotel. Abbiamo richiesto varie volte informazioni circa auto a noleggio e trasfer dal porto con largo anticipo piu di un mese ma non abbiamo mai ricevuto risposta. Alla fine ci siamo dovuti arrangiare chiedendo al porto e perdendo molto tempo. Inoltre al check in e al check out la nostra prenotazione era stata scambiata con un altra chiedendoci meta della spesa che invece era gia stata pagata. Quindi un servizio non all altezza di quello che ci aspettavamo. Infine non consigliato per coppie perche struttura enorme e piena di famiglie con bambini piccoli quindi molto rumorosa sia giorno che notte.

Excellent hotel, enough space in the parking, restaurant nearby, you can also rent some bikes. Breakfast was very good, but unfortunately it wasn’t possible to have it on the terrace at 7:30.

Obwohl die Balkontüre zu war hat man dennoch die Hühner gehört
Essen könnte mehr variieren - immer dasselbe

Personale sempre disponibile e gentile.
Buona posizione: pochi km dal centro.. quanto basta per essere vicini ma anche isolati dalla confusione notturna di Kos.
Unico appunto:mancanza di un ascensore per accedere ai piani.

Hotel pulito, camere moderne e buona varietà di cibo. Unica pecca: la spiaggia. Per raggiungerla bisogna attraversare una strada trafficata e il mare non è’ facilmente accessibile, soprattutto se avete dei bambini piccoli.

hôtel charmant avec un petit dej et diner variés mais petit. les chambres sont confortables mais salle de bain minuscule.
les transat sont pris d'assaut dès le matin et rapidement il n'ya plus de place.
le gros bémole, pas de kids club pourtant indiqué sur hotels.com. c'etait pourtant l'un des mes critères!

Einwandfreies Hotel, sauber, modern ausgestattet, gute Betten, ruhige Lage, Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und große Auswahl in wirklich guter Qualität. Großer Pool. Wir waren in der absoluten Nebensaison da. Das Hotel schloss 3 Tage nachdem wir abgereist sind. Von daher waren vielleicht noch 20 Zimmer belegt. Wie ruhig das Hotel in der Peak Saison ist, kann ich also nicht beurteilen. Aber, wie gesagt, sonst alles tiptop.

Really lovely hotel in excellent location. Peaceful spot but east to get to a number of very good beachfront restaurants and Kos marina. About 30 minutes walk to town or safe cycle/scooter routes all along road. Staff cannot do enough for you and very friendly. Special mention to the beautiful Bengal cat who lives in the hotel and visited us in our balcony every day 😻
