Beautiful guesthouse with a wonderful owner who makes you feel right at home. Out room was wonderful and the breakfast was absolutely delicious! The village and surroundings were beautiful too.

Att komma hit var som att komma hem så trevligt, unikt och kommer ge oss ett minne för livet. Utsikten är fantastisk. Det var personligt och privat och rummet perfekt för en familj med större barn. Frukosten som serverades vid bordet var gjord med omtanke. Tack för en helt magisk upplevelse

Simply perfect stay

We had a fantastic stay! The room itself was great, as shown in the pictures, and with everything we needed. Bathroom was lovely, a very good shower (much needed after a long day hiking). An exceptionally warm and generous host who has lots of useful tips and suggestions, from places to eat to hiking paths and things to do. A brilliant breakfast including fresh fruit, yoghurt, homemade bread and cakes, ham and cheese etc. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Magical place, outstanding hospitality, delicious breakfast, we'll be happy to return in autumn.

Little confusing to find at first, but I think Owners were friendly, and super helpful getting us checked. Super clean, gorgeous views, great breakfast.

Except for the breakfast which was minimalist. Everything there was perfect! The rooms, the location...

This hotel has a wonderful view of the Towers of Astraka just across the valley. The room was a beautiful example of the traditional wood floor and ceiling of the area, and the hotel is built of stone with slate roofs. The hosts are a great couple, and provide warm service. The breakfast included local dishes which were delicious. We will certainly stay here again on another trip.

Notre séjour au Papaevangelou Hotel a été superbe. L'hôtel est très agréable et confortable, à la fois dans les parties communes et dans les chambres. Le petit déjeuner est magnifique, surtout pris sur la terrasse. Et puis on est à la montagne. Pas de plages, mais des rivières, à l'eau turquoise mais fraîche, des forêts, des villages magnifiques, de très bons restaurants à Papigo. C'est une autre Grèce qu'on visite, à cheval entre la montagne (fraîcheur la nuit) et l'arrière-pays méditerranéen (chaleur la journée).

I’m so glad we chose this hotel! The hosts were friendly and helpful, the location was unbelievable! There were so many touches that showed how much they cared about creating a beautiful place to stay. If you want to be away from the crowds and In the middle of the natural beauty, this is the place for you. Well worth the drive!

We were so lucky to meet the amazing Yorgos and his beautiful wife at Papaevangelous! Best location, accommodation and service with a smile and best tips.

The hotel is beautiful itself and with gorgeous view. The host can't be better and just want us to have a good stay. Feel like at home!

we stayed at Papaevangelou Hotel for 4 nights. we got 2 suits for us and the kids. the first thing is the amazing view from the rooms, 2nd are the very big rooms equipped with all that you need. breakfast was great. most important thing is Giorgos the owner:such a great, pleasent guy, helped us in anything and more. we will defintely be back here, it's the best place in the whole area of Zagoria

We are a family of 3 - I made a mess up of the booking and got the dates wrong by a week! George (anglasised) was an absolute star, and made everything so easy! The rooms are amazing (we were on a tour of Greece, and we've seen A LOT of rooms) - the photos don't do the place justice. The breakfast was lovely too. I couldn't recommend Papaevangelou more, or indeed Papigo itself.
