I should be clear: You get what you pay for, and I knew not to expect 5-star quality for the price I paid. And because I had lived in Hong Kong for more than a decade, I was aware of what kind of facilities might be found in the Chungking Mansions complex, which houses dozens of cheap accommodations. To be fair, the staff at the Unique Hostel was friendly and accommodating, and though the room was old and small, it was functional and met my need to find a cheap room in the Tsim Sha Tsui area where I had an event. Travelers should do their research if they plan to book a spot somewhere in the "mansion."

Great value of money. They cleaned my room every day. Free drinking water. Amazing hospitality. Fast wifi. Right next to subway station. Can't recommend enought.

安くて市内中心にあり一日の間で休憩や買い物を一旦置きに行くのには良い立地です。部屋はオーナーが複数の階で所有していて状況によっては違う階の部屋になる事とある。シャワーとトイレは一緒ですのでトイレはすぐに濡れますが乾燥が早いので1時間もすれば乾くかと。アメニティはバスタオルとトイレットペーパーのみですので歯ブラシや歯磨きは持参必要です。冷房と天井にファンがあり選択物も多少手絞りで濡れていても翌日乾く。 アクセスは重慶大厦内にあり部屋まではエレベーターで行く。アルファベット事に場所が別れていてるので気をつけて下さい。 例えばユニークホテルは9Eにあり重慶大厦に入り右の1番奥のEのエレベーターに乗る。 隣にFのエレベーターもあるがこちらは偶数数字の住所の部屋に行く。私はオーナーから割り当てられた部屋が別のホステルになったため12Fの住所でFのエレベーターのみが部屋に辿り着く。階段もあるが危険もあるので非常時の確認に留めておいた方が良いかも。 エレベーターがひとつしか利用出来ないので繁忙な時間には色々な人種が乗り考えられない荷物を乗せる人もいるので気持ちに余裕を持った行動が必要と思います。

For the price, my family had a good experience. The building is very ethnic, filled with Indian and Middle Eastern sellers and stands, but we did not find them scary like some reviews say. The elevator was slow and crowded, but the longest we waited was ~10 minutes, not up to an hour like others said. The staff at the family-run hostel are friendly, and although the space is small they clean it daily so it was livable. The only issues we had were that the bathroom didn't have hot water as the water heater in our room was broken, and the bathroom door didn't close, but it was still bearable for a 2 night stay.

重慶大厦内の9Eエリアにありエレベーターは１個のみですので移動事には予約を持った行動ご必要。設備は冷蔵庫はありませんでした。 スタッフは良く、掃除も毎日してくれてチップのつもりで2ドル机に置いていても帰ったらそのままおいてあり驚きました。名前のユニークな点は特に見つからず。 中心地地下鉄のアクセスは抜群です。 割り切って「深夜特急」の世界を楽しむのには 良いかもでした。

レセプションの対応、部屋の清掃等素晴らしかったです。

Personnel très accueillant et très bonne localisation de l’hôtel. Les chambres conviennent très bien même si l’entrée peut faire peur lors de votre arrivée

Despite of too few TV choice, wifi fairly good. Room nice and clean !

워낙 저렴하게 예약한 거라 어느정도 예상은 했었지만 시설이 너무너무 열악했습니다. 유니크호텔이 아닌 다른 층에 방을 배정해 줬는데 유니크호텔도 크게 다르지 않을 거라 생각됩니다. 위치는 좋았지만 화재가 나면 꼼짝없이 죽겠구나 생각되는 그런 시설이었습니다. 저는 잠깐 트렌스퍼하면서 들른 거라 참을 수 있었지만 그런 경우가 아니라면 다른 호텔 이용하시는게 좋을 것 같습니다.

I was instead taken to Yan Yan Hostel on 12/F floor. Terribly small room and bathroom. Room is okay clean, not as bad as some comments. Fan is noisy. Air-con is slow but is still working, unsure under hot summer. Bathroom has hot water, but must wait 15 min to boil up. TV is not working at all. Bed and pillow are okay, sleepable.

Location wise, hotel was nearby to the train stations. Hotel looks very scary when you enter it. Overall OK.

Elevator takes forever for you to wait to ride Room is so small for the price. Not comfortable to stay inside the room. U feel claustrophobic

The owner and staffs of this hotel are very friendly and helpful, very near to Metro station and convenient stores. This building may seems complicated due to the mix nationalities are based here, but is actually save even during the mid night i was going in and out or walk around.

Did not stay there. It was the worstb’hotel’ ever! Very disappointed with Expedia to even include such a dump. Requesting a refund!!!!!!

The place is located inside Chungking Mansions. The place is strategically situated and just few steps at the HK Museum and HK Cultural Center. It is also very near the harbor bay and star ferry. It is near the shopping district Sogo Dept store, i square, harbor city. The accommodation is modest with friendly staff. Do not expect too much though but if you just want a place to sleep and take a rest for a very cheap price, then this is the place. It is more an inn rather than a hotel. Average hotel in the area is around 5k.

직원분이 친절합니다. 일찍 체크인 하면 짐도 맡아줘요. 근데 베개에서 냄새가 나는 편이예요. 샤워할때 뜨거운 물을 아껴써야 합니다. 순간온수기라 뜨신물이 금방 떨어져요. 저희는 여행하면서 잠만자기위해 선택했지만.. 힐링이나 분위기 잇는 여행으로 가신다면 비추합니다. 여자 혼자 여행은 위험할수도 있어요. 청킹맨션에 다국인들이 모인곳이다 보니 아무래도.. 추파를 던지는 사람도 있구요. 화장실은 진짜 엄청 쪼꼬매여. 벌레는 나오지 않는것 같습니다.
