Friendly staff, clean room, quiet location yet close to everything. I'd be happy to return here!

room smell discusting. Even i open window not gone. Also towels smell very bad

Breakfast was fresh .lovely and good choice. Drinks in bar especially the prosseco were far too expensive and with a service charge

Up Hotel is a clean, modern hotel, located right near a lovely garden and steps away from some fun areas and great restaurants and cafes. We enjoyed our stay there for five nights during our first trip to Budapest. It was very accessible to public transportation and also the Hop-on Hop-off bus! :) We used the gym, which was small but adequate. And the staff was always very friendly and nice. Our room was clean and they prepared a king size bed so we were very comfortable. The only slight drawback is that we didn't love the bathroom layout - two 'stalls' (one for the shower, one for the toilet) and an open concept for the sink. Still, we loved it overall and are very happy we stayed here.

FRANZ HONAUER wurde am 31. August 1806 als Müllerssohn in Geisheim (Bayern) geboren. Nachdem er in seiner Heimat das Schank- und Wirtsgewerbe erlernte, kam er als 14-jähriger Kellnerjunge nach Österreich. Ende der 1820er hatte er sich bereits im Wiener Hotel „Dreifaltigkeit“ zum Zahl- und Zimmerkellner hinaufgearbeitet. Dieses Hotel war damals besonders für Gäste aus Linz ein beliebtes Emplacement. So auch für die Linzer Fabrikantenwitwe Franziska Windpassinger. Sie begann mit dem jungen Kellner Honauer eine Liaison. 1833 heiratete der 27-jährige Kellner die 18 Jahre ältere Witwe und zog mit ihr nach Linz, um die Wollwarenerzeugung ihres verstorbenen Mannes fortzuführen. Honauer vergrößerte den Betrieb. Im Jahr 1840 erwarben die Honauers das Haus in der Linzer Altstadt, Hofgasse 12. Ihr Nachbar im Haus gegenüber war Johann Grillmayr, der dort eine Handweberei und ein Manufakturwarengeschäft betrieb. Flaggenstoffe, die früh

Very central location with good transport links and a lot to do things. Shower screen faulty keep coming out of the runner could fall on person. Toilet bottom thick layer of yellow substance and stains on sofa. Very expensive bar menu.

Good value hotel and near enough to walk to the city sites

We enjoyed this hotel. One significant issue -- the wifi is awful. It would suddenly drop out with no service. They kindly moved us to a room just above their server which helped slightly.

Very clean and tidy. Professional service at the front desk. Excellent and varied breakfast. We will come back again.

Couldn’t ask for more from a hotel. Room was perfect (corner suite with terrace) comfortable and exceptionally clean, lovely toiletries, good stock of coffee, tea, water etc. The team very friendly and so very helpful and breakfasts were fabulous. Excellent location in a quieter area but within walking distance of all sights. Would highly recommend this hotel.

My cousin and I shared a room with two twin beds. The room was clean and we appreciated the excellent housekeeping and location.

The hotel is very convenient to the metro, bus and tram lines. Room was fantastic! Hotel staff were knowledge and helpful. A great choice when visiting Budapest!

Lovely hotel! One of the best I’ve stayed at in Europe. Location is excellent, across from a park and near all the sites.

Great hotel, in a quiet area but easy walking distance to the main attractions. The staff was amazing, friendly and helpful. Hotel room itself was clean, modern and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful, good selection. I would stay here again for sure.
