Near to the view point of puffin watching. Staff is very warm, and provide hot water and tea to customers. Room is very clean.

Breakfast is good, and the staff are friendly, but the layout of the room can be improved: 1. It is hard to find how to control the heater, as a result of that, we felt hot in the room all night. 2. The toilet is small, especially the sink is too small and inconvenient to use. 3. There is no TV in the room. As a matter of fact, it ifs the first time I met in Iceland.

We had a wonderful stay here. A lovely village. The proprietor was amazing friendly, generous and caring and grew up in the village. We loved our stay here.

Alfheimer is a gem on the east coast. We decided to stay another night. The staff is very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Accommodations were perfect with a comfortable bed and great tasting food. The locally brewed beer is delicious as well. All around a wonderful experience. Should we ever come back to Iceland we will be back here.

Álfheimar Hotel was a lovely 2 night stay for our small group. The town is small and cozy, we took a walk to the top of Alfborg and just love the ocean views.

The setting is magical but most businesses are closed, including the hotels restaurant, in September. Plan accordingly!

This is perfect for puffin watching(7 min drive). The northern lights are right outside the room or the hotel. Thats how dark it is next to the hotel. The breakfast was very good. The views around the hotels itself are very good. Staff is friendly and helpful, the receiptionist gave us tips on hiking etc

ho prenotato 35 gg prima sbagliando il mese (anzichè agosto ho prenotato a settembre) ed ho chiesto un mese prima di cancellare la prenotazione. Niente.... l'Hotel ed Expedia si sono presi i soldi .... Lascio a voi definire questi soggetti.

We arrived late, about 9:45 pm, and they made sure to wait for us, got us taken care of quickly and showed us to our room. The included breakfast was a decent variety and got us going in the morning. It was a short stay but enjoyable and we would definitely stay there again.

Very thin walls, and limited selection. The pros are very clean and cozy, with excellent staff.

The staff who greet us is very polite and helpful. He is very enthusiastic and very understandable with kindness. The place itself is good too.

I make wish half year earlier, separate beds. Not get those. Also they promised soundproof rooms. Not even close. We had first room in corridor and every sound comes throw door and walls. Sleeping with earbulbs helps a little and shouting to corridor that be quiet, we try to sleep. Food was good, no menu and nobody told price. Expensive. Breakfast basic. I can't recommend this place if you want to go to sleep at 10 pm.

The place was fine, however we did not receive the room type that we had booked. Also when we arrived to the room, one of the beds was not made, and the comforter was just crumpled up on top of the bed which made us wonder if the room had been cleaned at all before we arrived. The manager/owner did give us some money back the next day, so that was nice. Breakfast was ok. Location was excellent, really close to the harbor where you see the puffins, which is why we stayed there.

The room was clean and the staff were nice, but it felt way overpriced for what was essentially a very basic room. The overall atmosphere was more like campground lodging. The room was dark, and the toilet paper was the kind you’d find in public restrooms, where you have to pull out one piece at a time. There was no kettle for hot water in the room, so if you wanted tea or hot water you had to walk to the main building — very inconvenient on a rainy day.

Property is in a beautiful setting and is in nice shape. The dining room is a nice feature, although it seems vastly overpriced for what they offer. Breakfast was fine but nothing special. All in all, it's a fine place, but we expected a bit more.

Très joli petit hôtel sans prétention dans une ambiance de bout du monde. Très propre avec un personnel courtois et sympathique. Menu unique pour le dîner mais laissant la part belle aux produits de la mer: délicieux. La chambre est très basique mais impeccable et confortable.
