I do recommend the hotel when you visit Iceland! The location is good, it is near bus stop #4, so it is very convenient for pick-up, no matter traveling coaches or airport buses. The room was clean and cozy, and facilities were also satisfied what I needed. Staff were friendly and provided necessary info too.

Parking garage is so small very hard to get in & out.

Very nice staff. Great weigh room. WiFi went out of me once during workout, but ran smooth the rest of the time. Quiet rooms. Only complaint is room is a little too dark, but probably just a me issue.

Very happy with stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was nice. Bakery within the hotel was very good and lots of places to eat nearby. I would highly recommend.

My 4th trip to Iceland and 3rd to The Exeter Hotel

We stayed at the Harbour Suite for 6 nights. A wonderful spacious suite with spectacular Mountain View’s. The room was spotless and the staff couldn’t do enough to make our stay fabulous. Breakfast was excellent. The heart shaped biscuits were sooo moreish! The hotel was perfectly placed to visit the many highlights within the city.

Great rooms, nice facilities, very well located centrally and very welcoming staff.

Good location, delicious breakfast

Staff was great. Location was great. Room and common areas were spotless.

The Exeter is in a perfect location for Reykjavik: close to everything you want to do but still quiet and cozy. They were having a Christmas Market in the garden with some great handmade items. The staff was incredibly helpful, including arranging for a taxi at 4:00 am for an early morning flight. The rooms are spare but very comfortable. The only thing I wish they had was more light.

The staff was pleasant, kind, friendly and welcoming, the hotel was clean and well-kept (as was the room), the restaurant was delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my time at Exeter Hotel. I loved how walkable everything was from the hotel. Annamaria, Justina, and Nadir were particularly helpful at the front desk, always answering any questions we had with great detail and providing us great recommendations for some great food in Reykjavik. I would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to Iceland!

Sauna good and clean, otherwise facilities fairly basic (although didn’t use the gym). Room was quite small but had the essentials. Had more of a hostel feel than boutique hotel.

Great place to stay

The room smelled like pizza. I realize you can’t stop someone from eating pizza in the room. But do extra cleaning to get the smell out. We smelled pizza the whole time we were there thought someone hid a piece somewhere in the room. Not up to the standard we are usually met with at the Exeter. Left a little disappointed.
