Super nice place. Everything new and high quality. Everything provided. Excellent view. Best place we stayed in in Iceland.

The views and the privacy were incredible. The host was responsive and helpful. Gave clear instructions on getting there. Created amazing memories staying at the Svartaborg cabins.

Alles war perfekt, es gab sogar Wärmflaschen. Und genügend Kapseln für die Nespressomaschine.

An amazing relaxing stay at Svartaborg. I love the location with the option to relax, or have a drive with so many things to see only a short drive away. We’ll be back. The houses themselves are stunning, and a dip in the hot tub tops off this amazing property/location.

Beautiful, modern micro-house, with lots of space. Excellent heating in the cold weather. Amazing views from huge windows. Great kitchen for cooking, which you will need, as there are no restaurants close by.

This was the best place we stayed at in all of Iceland.

Dies war die dritte Unterkunft von sechs Übernachtungen, sind gerade bei der vierten, und bisher die Schönste. Svataborg beeindruckte mich mit seinen großen Fenstern und seinem weiten Blick in die Ferne, ebenso mit seiner stilvollen Einrichtung. Makellos perfekt wäre alles, wenn die Holzmöbel ein bisschen Auffrischung bekommen würden und die Fenster einen Schutz, damit die Fliegen nicht ins Haus kommen. Dies ist nämlich die absolute Todesfalle für die armen Geschöpfe denn ohne Hilfe finden sie nicht mehr heraus und gehen leider zugrunde. Ich bin ein Liebhaber jeden Tieres und somit auch den Fliegen zugeneigt. Der Hot Pot ist ebenfalls so fantastisch wie das große bequeme Bett. Die Küche ist hervorragend ausgestattet und zur musikalischen Unterhaltung steht eine kleine Musikbox bereit. Ich kann diese Unterkunft einfach nur empfehlen und die Nachbarn kriegt man nur am Rand mit.

This was one of the most anticipated stops along our road trip. We were only able to stay one night due to availability but we would have loved to stay longer. The place was very quiet, peaceful and romantic. The space was mindfully designed and very visually appealing. I can tell the owner out a lot of thought into the interior design. The heated floors + heated towel rack made the place even more cozy. We enjoyed the stars in the jacuzzi but unfortunately didn’t see the northern lights that night (although I’m sure it is a great place to see them when they are out). The only downside was some of the pots were covered in food from previous guests. All of the plates, cups and silverware were spotless though.

This stay was amazing, the decor was very chic and had us wandering around complimenting each of the design choices. Every detail had been thought of - from robes to use in the geothermal hot tub (a great experience even in winter) through to slippers and hot water bottles. The view from the windows was also great and we saw the northern lights during our stay. We booked this for my partners birthday and although it’s pricey it’s 100% worth it for a special occasion.

Wunderbares Ferienhaus mit gelungenem Innendesign und sehr guter Ausstattung. Ideal zum entspannen, Polarlichter beobachten und von dort aus die Umgebung zu erkunden.

Wonderful property with all amenities one can wish for and very tastefully decorated. Not cheap but worth the price!

This was a lovely place to spend my birthday, gorgeous private unit and geothermal outdoor hot tub. Was a bit on the pricey side but if your looking to splurge the views were absolutely gorgeous.

BEAUTIFUL home. Facilities top notch - modern, thoughtful amenities. Wish were had stayed longer.

Unique location with 360 degree views of the surroundings. Quiet location, clean fully equipped villa with all amenities including a full kitchenette, comfortable and cozy beds. Easiest check in and check out. Host is super responsive and willing to go the extra steps to make guests happy. Would certainly very highly recommend staying at any of these villas when in Lake Myvatn area.
